When I connected the adapter's input to the DMX line, it loaded down the line, bringing it down to half level and causing problems with some up-stream lights. I connected a couple of 1K resistors in series with the leads and that fixed the issue. 2. Each channel's output is Pulse Width Modulation, like in a switching power supply, not pure DC but an oscillating, varying width square wave at the supplied voltage. Great for powering LED's, but for my use I needed DC. So, I made a simple RC filter to flatten it into DC. 3. Each output is inverse voltage. In other words, when the DMX fader is off the adapter output is full +V, with the fader full up the output is GND. For the mod on one type lamp, this was perfect. The other model needed positive action, so I inverted it with a transistor. I thought I might subtract 1 star, becasue of the input loading. However, for the price and because it works fine and does exactly what I need, it's a 5.
