A Work of Art that Works
After watching reviews I thought it would take a while to get the hang of the La Pavoni, but cappuccinos were good the first day. By day two I had the grind dialed. It is small enough to fit under the cabinet if I take the eagle off. I love the total manual operation. It heats up in less than 10 minutes. I think the steam wand froths milk well. It is nice to have the lever pressure gauge. It is very quiet heating up. Do not touch the boiler when it is hot or you may throw milk all over.

Damaged/Non-functional on Arrival
The machine arrived. The box was not damaged. After it was set up and an attempt was made to run it, it did not pressure up but rather leaked water out of the base of the unit. Please see first image. Upon examination, the pressure gauge was bent/pulled out of alignment with the water level indicator tube. Please see second image. Several tests were made and in each case as soon as minimal pressure developed water poured out of the base of the fill tube. Since the shipping box was undamaged, all that can be concluded was that the unit was shipped without adequate quality assurance/quality control inspection. I had to provide a rating to submit the review, so it was given a single star. It deserved zero stars.

Wonderful espresso machine, arrived after a bit of delay (no fault of the seller, delays at customs due to covid). Just as described, couldn’t be happier with it.
