Decent yoga mat for the price
Let's get one thing straight... For my regular practice I use a Manduka Prolite Mat (71"), and you really can't compare it to the YogaAccessories mat. They're in two different leagues.I had three of the YogaAccessories mats shipped to my parents' house for a recent visit. They'd been interested in starting yoga, and I couldn't justify purchasing higher quality mats for a class or two. What was nice about these mats:* Price* Size - 74" length is much better than Gaiam's standard 68" length* Stickiness - after a quick wash with Manduka Renew Mat Wash, our hands never slipped* Color AssortmentWhat was less than perfect:* Compresses with longer kneeling poses - mat temporarily squishes flat until your knees feel the ground* Smell - light chemical smell that mostly faded after first wash* Loud - you could hear "stickiness" when adjusting hands/feet (preferable to slipping)All in all, I think these are great introductory yoga mats. My biggest complaint was when I could feel the ground through the mat on an extended crescent lunge, but you could easily combat this by placing a blanket under your knee (often recommended by yoga instructors anyway). I'll definitely continue to use the mat during future visits.

sticky
I used this mat on tile and it's a little touch but one carpet it's fine. Very sticky and a good value.

Great cushioning, but delaminates quickly
Hi there. I teach Cardio Classes and have been using these mats for the floorwork segment of my classes since 2009. I usually get about a year of use out of them, before my shoes have torn up the surface on both sides. These are made of PVC which has a smell, but it never really bothered me. The Cushioning is great, no complaints there. Just wish they lasted a little longer so I decided to try one of the "TPE" mats (Top Plus brand) this time around and see if they last any longer than these slightly cheaper PVC models. TPE supposedly is more "eco friendly", doesn't have a smell and is more resilient. I look forward to doing a review on it after I've had it for a few months.

Perfect yoga mat for use at home or in class -- I do both.
Perfect yoga mat for use at home or in class -- I do both. I've been doing yoga for over 10 years and this companies mats are really solid. they last a long time, and these ones that are extra thick are really good for poses requiring you to be on your knees (like low lunges) or tailbone (like boat pose). The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because it doesn't come with anything to hold is when it's rolled up. I have some stretchy straps that have Velcro on the ends (that I got from a thing a bought to roll up jigsaw puzzles) and I use two of those to keep it rolled up for when it's not in use. It would be great if the vendor would supply something like that with the mat. Overall, I highly recommend the mat and will continue to buy this brand.

Great mat - not quite as described on thickness, but still a killer deal
great yoga matt. I had previously had a 1/2" matt and it was not stable and stretched too much. This matt is firm enough that you don't lose stability and it doesn't stretch on the floor. Matt stickiness isn't perfect, but its much better than other mats I have used. The level of cushion is what I would call acceptable - meaning that in most poses it is very comfortable and nice. Poses that require you to balance on a forearm or elbow are not comfortable with this mat and can only be sustained for short periods of time.Of note, my mat was not actually 1/4" thick and actually measured 3/16" of an inch thick. Even so, it was thicker than my standard yoga mat that I had picked up at a local sporting good store, so I would still consider it an upgrade over one of those. For the money, I don't think you can beat this mat.

High quality, will last years!
This was the first yoga mat I bought. I’ve had my yoga mat since 2012 and it’s still in “like new” condition after moderate to heavy use. I wanted to buy a second one for my husband who is 5’11”. This one didn’t come up when I first searched for a yoga mat, so I bought a similar brand. When I got it I realized the new one I bought was about 6 inches shorter than this one, so we had to swap yoga mats (I’m 5’2”). I later realized I could search my order history in Amazon and I found the original yoga mat I purchased back in 2012. I bought it for him and we are now both very happy campers. The quality and length are much better than other yoga mats I’ve owned.

Excellent quality, great price, just a little bit stinky!
I'm a complete yoga novice who just started classes and needed a mat. After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase this mat based on the number of happy customers and the low price. I liked the wide range of colors and the inexpensive mat bag offered by the same company. So far, I'm very satisfied with the quality, size, degree of stickiness, but my only small complaint is that the mat is very stinky. After unpacking it, I did hang it outside for a week, then I washed it with lavender liquid soap and rinsed it with a hose. When it dried, the smell seemed to be gone but when I unrolled it at my first class, that plasticy smell was back! So I'm not storing the mat rolled up in the bag now, hoping the stink will eventually go away. Others in my yoga class have commented how much they like my mat and asked where I bought it.

Yoga beginner
I am a beginner and this is my first mat, so I have no real experience with other mats to compare this with. The description states these are extra thick and extra long, but for me it feels like these should be the standard. So I am glad that I got these as opposed to others. The one thing is that it is slippery to use, so when doing downward dog I can feel my hands slidding up and I have to adjust. Others reviewers have said that this goes away but I have yet to see. I give it 4 stars since it is working well with my needs except for the slippery factor.
