8 Inch Chef Knife by Findking-Dynasty clad steel
First clad steel knife I’ve owned. Apparently if you don’t take care of it, it’ll rust. Similar to a cast iron pan I suppose. It’s nothing for me to clean and dry my knives before hanging them up. The knife is surprisingly light and is balanced correctly. It is very sharp. When I unboxed it, I bumped my knuckle lightly against the blade and was easily cut. I wore a bandage for three days until the bleeding stopped. I think if I were to bump it just a little bit harder it might have cut me to the bone. Be very careful. It’s a stylish knife. The grip feels natural. No obvious defects but I can tell and for the price point, I’m very satisfied with the purchase. I’ve only had it for a week so if it turns out to be a dud, I’ll update the review. On a personal note, I normally use cleavers all the time so I’m used to heavier knives. Because this knife is so light it may take some time to get used to. The packaging notes make it clear not to use anything other than a wood cutting board. If you use stone or plastic, it will defect the cutting edge.

Best chef knife in this price range
If you are looking for a chef knife that is better then the regular store bought verity but don’t want to drop $100+ dollars on a professional chef knife then this is the only knife you should be buying. It looks and feels like a $100 knife and came sharper than than any knife I’ve ever bought (and i collect pocket knifes so I have quite a few) and it actually is what it claims to be unlike other $30-$40 knife that claim to be vg-10 and Damascus, you can clearly see where the hardened 9cr18mov core is on the knife and it definitely isn’t laser etched in to simulate the layers of steel. I truly think that if you want a quality knife for your kitchen you shouldn’t get any other knife but this one especially for the price you pay for the materials you get, it’s a no brainer.

Buy it now!
I debated for months on this particular knife or another very similar brand. Get this one hands down. It’s sharp out the box and as long as you care for it properly it will last you. I cook extremely often and use this knife for various things in the kitchen. I don’t believe price always reflects the quality and this is a great example, not too expensive and hits all the points for anyone looking to add a strong chefs knife to your kitchen. Beware it’s super sharp and if you don’t have basic knife skills it will get you! Also, as long as you clean/dry it properly and sharpen with a wet stone only it will be around for a long time.

A good go to chef's knife
Knife came very sharp in good condition. The straight octagon handle is satisfactory but nothing fancy. The only issue I have is the craftsmanship is a little lacking on the finer details. Definitely won't be afraid to use this knife like I would dinging a Shun. For the money a nice enough knife to use.

This is a MASTERPIECE if I ever saw one, I am a retired Chef of 45 years and in all my years in the field I have never come across a knife like this. Its a work of ART, for the first time in MANY MANY years I am now able to FINELY DICE vegetables, Cut Paper thin slices of Zucchini, carrots, onions, I mean this knife know no bounds. It would be contusive to buy one and add to your collection. Its so well constructed and G-D is it a sight for sore eyes. Its absolutely beautiful to look at. CHRIS, my hats off to you.............

SHARPEST KNIFE IVE EVER OWNED
By far the best quality and sharpest knife I’ve ever owned. I purchased the 8” Chef’s Knife and fell in love. My friend who’s a professional chef took a look at and used the knife and said that it’s along the same lines of quality and sharpness as a “Shun,” but for a fraction of the cost. It even has the “hamon” line on the edge of the blade. Very easy to see. I just purchased the set of 4, will be gifting my original chef’s knife to my father, being that it comes with the set and i don’t need two. PLEASE BE WARNED, This knife is surgically sharp and it would EASILY cut to the bone. If you’re one of those people who “Nick” your finger here or there from cutting, this knife is not for you.

Very sharp but rusts very quickly after being washed.
Product is very sharp and designed well. However, if you wash it and set it out to air dry, it will rust almost immediately,. Which is inconvenient. It must be completely dried immediately after washing to prevent rust.

Immediate impression
I am a knifemaker myself, so I can appreciate a quality blade. For the price of this knife, you absolutely cannot beat the craftsmanship. The edge is absolutely screaming sharp and very thin. The balance is great, but my gosh, the most surprising this is the level of quality control. The place where the blade meets the handle is absolutely square. The bushing that fixes the blade to the handle is brass; again, no slop. The handle is made from two pieces of exotic hardwood with the joint being totally square. I will update this review if it falls apart, but I genuinely do not see that ever happening.

The knife is really great: sharp and comfortable to use. However, it requires careful handling because the blade is very sharp. See photos and video.
