I take these pills to relax my mind, but I had no idea they were also effective in helping me manage depression. I take one of these a night 30 minutes before I go to sleep and have had good results; in my experience, you should not take these during the day as you might start to feel drowsy and could make you feel like you have less energy. It definitely calms me, especially my mind, and I didn’t immediately realize it helped with my depression. That said, these pills should NOT be taken as an expectation to cure anything. I have a lot of intrusive thoughts and my mind races a lot and I took these with the expectation that they would help, and they did, but I didn’t immediately realize they were also making me drowsy and have low energy if I took them during the day. I also didn’t realize they were helping with depression until I stopped taking them for a couple weeks, then I started taking them again and all was well. The only side effect I’ve had with this stuff is that SOMETIMES, I get that weird, tingling hot sensation through my body, especially my head. It doesn’t really last longer than a minute for me and I don’t consider it a problem, so I ignore it. From what I’ve learned, these GABA pills won’t work if you don’t have lower levels of GABA, meaning if your GABA levels are fine, these probably won’t work for you. I don’t know that for sure, but that’s just what I’ve heard. Do your due diligence and do your research Lastly, I’ve seen a few reviews mentioning gabapentin; please note GABA and gabapentin are two DIFFERENT things. This stuff will NOT replace gabapentin. GABA is an amino acid that works as a neurotransmitter. Gabapentin is not; it is a medication that will NOT have the same effect on you that GABA pills do.

I previously left this review: "I've used many brands of GABA to help me sleep. This brand, for whatever reason, has no effect on me at all. Rather, when I take it, I feel more awake when I'm trying to wind my brain down. Other brands have given me that tingly feeling and put me to sleep. I don't experience that here." I am back to report I tried this product again and I think I had one bad batch the first time. Since trying the product again (2 bottles and now a 3rd), I feel that the product is effective. It helps me fall asleep and stay asleep all night. I notice when I don't take it. I have insomnia so this is an essential in my night time supplements to help me sleep.

Good product & seems to help with anxious thinking at night.

I went through extreme chemo treatments a few years ago. I suffer from severe heavy metal toxicity from the platinum left in my body from the platinum based chemo drugs/chemicals. This affects my brain and nervous system. My life is very different since chemo. I struggle to function, I can barely read now, etc. I had a brain mri and was told my brain had shrunk and will continue to shrink faster since I’ve been through chemotherapy. Traditional medicine has nothing to offer me. And so I am trying to find what I need to get better and get through my days. And my brain is being put through a lot with this platinum toxicity. This GABA definitely knocked me out and put me right to sleep the second time I took it. The first time I took it I took it in the morning. I was groggy all day. Both times I took it, I had a terrible headache. These are capsules. But I’m going to try to split them in half to see if that will work better and not leave me with a headache. I am trying to heal my brain. I’m hoping the GABA gives it the rest it needs to contribute to the healing process.

Been using gaba for a while, for anxiety and insomnia and tried several other brands including ones straight up in powder form. These work by far the best. Start kicking in real soon, less than thirty minutes and peak about after an hour. I'd say it lasts about three hours, the sedation is at its peak but it goes a little longer. Feels a lot like benzos but is OTC and not really addictive. Product does it's job, worth the price. Recommends taking one but I'll usually take two (wouldn't recommend it as it good have adverse reactions in others). Can't guarantee it'll work for everyone, everyone's different but has been a miracle for me.

While I read many positive reviews and comments, which drew me to purchase this product, I have noticed no difference in getting to sleep and definitely no difference in staying asleep longer than usual. I suffer from chronic insomnia and even after falling asleep, most nights I wake up an hour or two after falling asleep and I am then awake for quite a while before finally getting back to sleep. This was worth a try, and while it might work for some, I notice no measurable difference for me.

The absorbency for me is usually quick so i began to feel like i drank coffee with the caffeine within 1 hour and a 1/2 after i took one capsule on an empty stomach with lots of water. when I had down time within four hours afterwards i took a 2 hour nap and felt refreshed within minutes. My mood was calming in a very stressful situation at work. So for me I would say this works. when i got home after work i fell asleep no problem and i still feel calm. I work a very stressful job and the Gaba worked fine for me. That's the only time i need something like this.

For the price and the amount you can’t find a better deal.

Not suitable for people who’s having migraines
