After purchasing this item I was told it would not work on my device. I finally figured it out.
This program has turned into a piece of crap. After purchasing and attempting download and install, I was told it would not support my PC. Do not purchase! I am not a high-tech person. I finally figured it out and got it loaded and installed. Sorry about the original evaluation. This product is good!

Great Product, but here is what you need to know...
1. Most of the ‘chatter’ that you hear is incorrect and made up by people that like ‘free stuff’ - ie: it takes over my computer, conflicts with other programs. Etc. 2. This Amazon version requires you to sign up for auto-renew to register it (that is why it is cheaper for the year subscription) but you can cancel the auto-renew right after you register your current copy. Enjoy the small cost for a great product. 3. You really can’t install antivirus on an infected computer, it will cause issues installing, running , and updating any antivirus software. 4. You should have your system professionally cleaned up before you install any antivirus. Norton supplies a tool to help you if your system is in a ‘bad way’ called Norton Power Eraser, NPE – which is a free download. Run it first to get most of the really bad stuff, then you can install your new Norton Antivirus 5. Every company tries to upsell you to get more money and to sell you more options for their products. 99% of people are better off with just antivirus, you don’t need track eraser, VPN, firewall, backup, and many other features that is available from Norton. (sorry Norton, ie Symantec corporation) The more you install, that you don’t really need, the slower your computer will be and it will also affect your internet speed and connectivity to secure sites if you are running any VPN software.

Norton
I needed customer service help with the installation of this service tool. I feel more comfortable knowing that I’m protected online and in my apartment with the Tapo doorbell

Easy to install & run the security scan/ clean up!
It was easy to install. I immediately ran a full scan & then a clean up of duplicated photos & documents. I had been getting notifications that my Mac computer had a virus threat before purchasing. The software identified 9 Trojans & put them in quarantine. I feel better with the extra security and all has been going well since the scan! Peace of mind is worth the investment.

So much better buying Norton Security HERE and not their miserable website
I use Norton because it ranks up there with others that are considered the best security suites. It is so much better to buy it here than thru Norton's own website - where they drive you crazy with their "auto renewal" - OMG, they are the worst with their pushing you for 'auto renewal'. I strongly suggest buying it here on Amazon at DEEP DISCOUNT as a one-year thing, and when it runs out, return to Amazon and find the lowest selling new Norton security suite, and buying that for one year. Anything is better than having the money-grabbing Norton drive you nutz. So this is good, I recommend it. AND if another security suite has a top ranking from PC Magazine next year, I will fly to that one. Don't stay glued to the same suite - find one that works the best for you!

Way hard to download and use. Norton has multiple firewalls set up to block setup.
Bad business model. Don't buy. Tried to redeem this product after buying it from Amazon. Norton put up repeated firewalls preventing me from accessing this product that I had already paid for sending me code after code to my email. Navigated to my email to secure the code. When I went back to Norton with the code seconds later, they said it was expired. Finally, in desperation, I contacted Customer "Support" for a shared session. They took over my screen, and then demanded that I enter my payment information for the entire call center to view at which point I broke off the session. What the actual hell? This is MY software. That I already purchased. That I am not allowed to return. That I already entered the payment information when I bought it.

It's okay. Seems Buggy.
I'm not super happy with Norton right now. I got a good deal on Black Friday ($10) and it has a lot of features and seems to be working, but I have a hard time seeing the notifications. The text is either too small or cut off/not aligned in the window (pop-up). I tried reaching out on the Support Forums and got a lackluster response. I switched from Bit-defender because of the cost and I'm thinking of looking into Norton's 60 day money back guarantee if I qualify. I'm not sure since I bought it through Amazon. I also realize it only works on 1 device (as stated) so it doesn't work on both a phone and a PC at the same time. It's nice that I can transfer the license to a new, different device with ease and that it has good performance, reviews as an anti-virus. It comes with a password manager, which I eventually plan to use. The 2 GB cloud backup is nice and I think if you have auto-renewal they upgrade the storage, but I'm not sure. Overall, my opinion is mixed. I can't really see the important notifications that tell me what's wrong with my computer. I think it has to do with my 4k monitor/resolution, but I'm not sure. I tried updating and re-installing it too and it still didn't fix it.
