Worked to solve our leaking pipe issue! We tried other solutions like teflon tape and pipe dope to no avail, regardless of what we tried our old pipe still leaked because the threads were damaged over the years. We heard about this loctite 55 product and decided to give it a try. It worked perfectly! Worth every penny.

Like the concept of the product but don't find it better than teflon tape.

I picked these up after replacing a bath valve where the valve unit came with some teflon tape that even after several attempts (and yes, apply the tape correctly) I would still get a drip. This product worked well and no drips then, or 9mo later as I'm writing this. Teflon tape is certainly cheaper (often included "free" with kits) but I've had issues this time and in the past with it so to me this felt well worth the cost (certainly much cheaper than finding a leaky connection after the fact!). plus less mess and less permanent (in a good way; connection can be undone for future repairs downstream) than the liquid sealers/welders

Looking to avoid buying a way overpriced hose, I used this to seal a 3/8 NPT adapter onto a shutoff valve inside a Toto in-wall toilet, so I could attach a standard faucet supply line. Access was tight, and through a sharp edged hole, and there was no way I could have gotten Teflon tape wrapped on the male threads. I gently wrapped this around a nipple of the same size to estimate how much I needed to cut, then unwrapped it, tied a slip knot in one end to cinch onto the threads and used tweezers to bring it around 8 more times. Sealed perfectly on the first try!

Very specialized product, we needed it when our plumber screwed up installation of a GROHE shower valve and I had to fix it. Mating a notched BSP-standard pipe thread to US NPT standard. I tried a cheaper Chinese made option from Amazon first because this wasn’t available in time. That also worked, but didn’t have any certifications. As a chemical engineer who knows how this stuff is made, I didn’t want the uncertified stuff to be my long term solution because of possibility it could break down over time or corrode the fixture if the Chinese manufacturer used the wring additives. With the certified product, I know I’m safe.

Had a drip from my shower head extension at fitting inside wall; Teflon tape did not work. Six warps of this product and hand tightened extension and no more leaks. Will not use any other product again.

Ich habe mit diesem Gewindedichtfaden meine komplette Hausinstallation gemacht. Das heißt Heizungsanlage mit Hydrobox und Speicher, Heizkörper und Trinkwasser eingedichtet. Schätzungsweise 100 Gewinde (1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4). Es gab keinerlei Undichtigkeit. Die Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit ist echt hoch und der Faden lässt sich gut auf das Gewinde auflegen und wickeln. Insgesamt habe ich 3 Dosen verbraucht. Ich muss sagen so eine Dose ist schon sehr ergiebig. Ich finde dieses System beteutend besser als Teflonband und Hanf. Teflonband fand ich schon immer bescheiden zum eindichten weil es gerne verrutscht und man schnell zu viel draufwickelt. Hanf ist meiner Meinung nach der beste Dichtstoff weil es noch quellen kann. Die Verarbeitungsdauer ist aber höher und mich hat dieses gematschte mit dem Neofermit schon immer genervt. Fazit: Eine gute alternative zu Hanf und Teflonband mit guten Dichteigenschaften und hoher Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit.

Me parece un buen producto, Habìa batallado en unir dos tubos con la cinta teflòn, depende del n'umero de vueltas, pero para atinarle y formar un bien sello era una lata, siempre se asomaba una gota de agua, Con el hilo, el sello entre las uniones quedò bien y al primer intento, en el producto te sugieren un nùmero de vueltas. Si no se dedican a la fontaneria, y no quieren batallar en las uniones con la cinta teflon, este producto es una buena alternativa.
