Results after 3 days of consistent use.
A friend mailed me three packets of Lion's Mane with the directions to "drink in coffee every morning for three days," then get back to him with how I felt. DAY 1: I felt an extra jolt, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. My attention and focus seemed better, memory recall etc. It kind of felt like my brain was in the Matrix, I was able to catch anything that flew by me. It was amazing. I figured it was the placebo effect though. DAY 2: I didn't feel quite the same intensity of results, but felt good. DAY 3: I didn't feel quite anywhere near what I felt on day 1 and day 2, but I did notice that my mood had been consistently good for those three days, my mental energy was consistent from morning to night, and I was able to recall names, places, and facts without hesitation -- rarity for me. I ordered a box of my own. DAY 4: No Lion's Mane, no withdrawals, no feelings of grogginess, just felt completely normal. DAY 5: Still felt normal. DAY 6: Normal still. DAY 7: Got my box of Lion's Mane in the mail, gave some to my friends and asked them to tell me how they felt after 3 days of consistent use. Everybody loved the initial rush of Day 1, all said they felt focusing was better. Some have been asking me to give them more since then lol. Tastes like the back of a stamp with earthy tones, and somebody said it definitely has a mushroom flavor. It really inspired me to find natural mental boosters, so grabbed some Ginkgo Biloba tea at the local Asian grocery and now make a morning elixir with the Ginkgo and Lion's Mane. I much prefer drinking it in a tea, rather than my coffee (I love the taste of coffee as it's own elixir). The friend who sent me packets that started this whole thing uses Lion's Mane every day. He says he doesn't notice the effects anymore, but says that overall he feels great -- but he's a healthful dude overall. Who really knows? 5 Stars though.

Not delicious but makes my brain feel better
I often feel like my brain is in spiderwebs and it's frustrating. When my brother told me about this product he heard of, I was skeptical but figured it was worth trying. I'm glad I did. The elixir made me feel more clear and more confident in my ability to use my brain well. I felt like I could 1. recall words faster without being tongue tied, and 2. had more energy and focus to get things done as opposed to putting off tasks. I've questioned whether or not it's a placebo effect but even if it is, it's worth it. After several days of taking this I didn't feel the effects as much. I wondered if stopping and starting again would change that. So, after the package supply ran out and due to (what I think is) the high cost, I tried another company's lower cost product in pill form and was disappointed. After two weeks of not taking this elixir but taking the pills, I started the elixir again today and immediately felt the same positive effects. During my first try with the elixir, I couldn't stand the taste and had to chug it without smelling it. I told myself it was for the greater good but it was not enjoyable. Although it is sweetened with stevia, it still grossed me out. This time, however, I don't love it but it's more tolerable - maybe because I know that I feel better. In my experience it's best to drink it with a small cup of hot water - like a tea- rather than adding honey or other beverages to it. Doing that seems to only worsen the taste of the beverage you like as opposed to improving the earthy taste of the elixir. Last, and totally not relevant to the effects of the elixir: I like the design on the packaging and I LOVE the way the individual packets feel. They're soft and make me feel like I'm going to consume something fancy.

Perfect for maintaining focus and retention
I’m a pilot who is constantly in training learning new concepts and maneuvers. I’m also in my 50’s so learning heavy subjects isn’t as easy as it once was for me. Four Sigmatic Elixer with Lions Mane helps me retain the new information and keeps me feeling a sense of calm when I could be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of complex theories, important written tests and stressful checkrides. The flavor isn’t strong and doesn’t overpower whatever you’re adding it to, yet it provides a boost of mental energy and smoothes out the stress without leaving me foggy like some supplements can do.

Pleasantly surprised.
I was helping a friend pack her home into a moving truck for an out-of-state relocation and during one of our breaks she made me cup of this Lion's Mane elixir. I've never encountered a mushroom I didn't like and this was no exception. Off of that one experience I purchased this box of 20 packets for myself. The flavor is subtle but really nice and satisfying. Even though they taste nothing alike for some reason it reminds me of drinking hot cocoa as a child. As for the claims of increased focus... I can see that being the case for some people, but not everyone. I'm a moderate coffee drinker (straight black coffee) and this elixir doesnt provide the same kick coffee does. However, I do feel some degree of clarity after consuming it. All in all, it's a little pricey but well worth it if you want to treat yourself with something different.

Changed the formula
This used to work so well to give me a little energy boost and ease my anxiety. Just spent $30+ on 2 boxes so I could stay stocked up. The packaging has changed and the stale instant coffee scent when you open the packet is overwhelming. When mixing it is also much darker. This tastes really bad! I will have to find a new brand, I won't be purchasing this again :( Update: since it can't be returned, you can contact amazon customer service for a one-time refund if you got one of these awful new batches!

Did some research online after debating whether to get lions mane from fruiting bodies, as this is, or not. Decided to try it out this way. Drank on its own and added to morning coffee. I definitely feel the difference when I take this vs days I skip it. Doesn’t make me jittery like a stimulant but makes me sharper and more focused. I had planned on ordering one of the supplements based on mycelium as there seems to be a lot of debate, but this worked so well I have ordered the matcha latte with lions mane. The only negative is the taste isn’t amazing, the amazon description said it contained mint which is undetectable, it’s more of a neutral, slightly bitter taste but easily disguised with coffee.

Works great as a means of cognitive enhancement and a pick-me-up (better than coffee which just makes me do stupid stuff faster) BUT the taste is awful. So I brew it in a tiny amount of hot water, top it up with cold water and knock it back as fast as I can. Not put off by the taste though, the benefits I see in enhanced ability to focus, deal with complex tasks faster and think on my feet even at the end of a workday far outweight the taste issue.
