Not only did the wind pass straight through the vents preventing it from inverting, but it also prevented the dreadful wind 'tug' that pulls the umbrella away from you and can drag you into traffic -or off a cliff! The cover is actually wide enough at the mouth that you can put the umbrella in very easily and quickly. It was a windy day . The umbrella coped well with the wind. I would recommend it. I have only given it 4 stars as it is slightly heavier than stated. This is because of the robust handle. Does not fit in my small back pack , so has to be carried separately if not used . The cover is good and easy to get on . So it will get used. I am happy with my purchase especially for the price.
