Dickies Men's Original 874 Straight Leg Work Pants

I love these pants so much and consider them a staple (I have three pairs). The length is perfect as it sits a little below my ankle, but I did have to size up on the waist size. Since it is mens pants, there's no room for your hips when you're pulling them up, so be sure to size up at least once or twice. I sized up once and they fit perfectly. The women's version of these pants suck and are more tapered so I recommend you get these instead as the pant legs are more straight and they're much cheaper. have owned dickies in the past, but for some reason I always owned the larger, baggier versions, and so I stopped owning them as I grew out of that look. I currently work in a restaurant where I am required to wear black pants, and I used to wear cheap walmart slacks everyday, but these have become my new favorite. They have a good straight leg shape that also gives an indirect recognition that you do indeed have a butt, but without over announcing it like a pair of tight jeans would. The waist felt slightly snug the first time I wore them, but since then they have felt very comfortable. Depending on the pants, I wear either a 32 or 33 waist, but as 32s, these have a nice slim fit to them that won't allow them to sag, which is perfect for running back and forth at work. I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs, and the fit feels great on my legs as well. The material is very sturdy, as anybody who has worn dickies before would know, and therefore can withstand a good amount of abuse. There seems to be some conflicting opinions in the reviews regarding the fit of these pants - perhaps I can clarify. They are not slim fit in the sense that a modernly fashionable young man may think. By this I mean that they are not skinny jeans, they are not your girlfriends jeans, and they are not super butt hugging cowboy pants. They are,

We purchased these in various colors for our 15 y/o to use. They have held up well to everyday use that includes outdoor work and play, and they still look great! The only reason we will need to buy him more pants is because he will outgrow the size we purchased. As a mother of boys, I can say that finding good pants that hold up to the wear and tear that boys tend to put them through can be difficult. Dickies has always been a trusted brand of ours to do just that, and we will be purchasing more of these in a larger size as soon as our son grows out of the ones he currently has.

husband has worn dickies for a long long time...he use to wear blue jeans....but as he got older he switched to dickies...and we have a load in all different sizes...they are very srong pants...and fit welll

The first time I ever tried these pants on they felt and looked great. The fit felt quite good. I did read some of the other reviews bemoaning the stiffness of the material, but I like that. It means these pants will keep the sharp and crisp look they have, for longer. They are "work pants" after all. And, no doubt, they will soften a bit over time with washing. I liked them very much at first blush until I encountered the tight pockets. They are all too small and shallow, front and back. Especially the 2 front pockets. (A small inner change pocket within the front right pocket always goes a long way.) There's little room in there and anything you put into the front pockets shows up as an outlined bulge/s in the front of your thighs. Not a flattering look anywhere. If it weren't for the the poorly thought out and stingy pockets, and even though I haven't washed them yet, I would have given these Dickies Original 874 Work Pants 5 stars instead of 3.

These are tough, comfortable, and look good for work. They aren't really business casual, but look good if you're a factory worker, factory manager, work in construction, etc. Pockets are great, large and useful.

Liked everything, got a pair for my son in construction and liked the way they fit so bought another pair for my husband also. Easy to wash and dry and come out new again.
