Drylock Tank Gasket 3" Black

My toilet tank started leaking. I'm not much of a handyman, but after watching a few videos and staring at my toilet for a while, I figured out that the problem had to be the rubber gasket between the tank and the bowl. So I ordered this part, even though its product number ended in "-F" rather than "-A", which is the type my toilet is supposed to use. Luckily, the gasket fit perfectly, and it stopped the tank from leaking, so everything ended happily, and I didn't have to pay a plumber.

Perfect fit! Saved me $$ in replacement parts. Who knew Kohler was full of proprietary parts? I ordered this gasket, the metal baseplate and a new flush valve, but I only needed this gasket . Returning the parts I didn't need. YAY!! !st pic is the old gasket that decided to give up the ghost.

Been plumbing for 45 years and kohler is one of my favorite toilets. This part seems a little better than the previous replacement gasket that they had earlier on. It has an extra grove that helps it fit better. Very easy to replace just make sure you tighten both sides evenly and stop when the metal tabs on the bracket touch the porcelain and clean any old remnants from the old gasket from the bowl before you reinstall the tank.

Once I knew the type of gasket I needed, this worked like a charm. Saved me from having to call a plumber to the house and I was able to fix the tank leak myself.

My toilet bowl was leaking when I flushed. I noticed the water coming out from the tank and bowl joint. Disassemble the upper tank and found the worn out gasket. It took some time to find the correct part number. The toilet model number was on the inside of the tank. The gasket number was on the sticker inside the tank top cover. It ended in -A and this product ends in -F but the number was right so I ordered it. I was skeptical in the beginning because the existing gasket was lot bigger than this one's dimension. It stretches over time so this is the right fit. Someone mentioned putting this in hot water or using olive oils to fit it. I just used my fingers to gently stretch this over the plastic ring and it fit perfectly. As I joined the tank to the bowl I was careful not to tighten the nuts too much because I didn't want to compress this ring too much. Several tests revealed the correct fit and no leak. Happy.

This product was easy to install and eliminated a leak in the toilet tank. It only took a minute to install and worked perfectly.

Item was perfect. 3 inch inside and 4.4 approximately round for outside.

Ordered two more gaskets, shipped & arrived in a couple days, one's for my other toilet & a spare because they're hard to find. The donut gasket arrived in a Kohler package, it's a original Kohler gasket not a cheap knock off, it fits perfectly on our Kohler toilet, it's 5" OD 3" ID. After I installed it and turned the water on, no more leaks, now both toilets are no longer leaking & we can now flush again, I give it a 5 star recommendation. Cheers .... David W. Sylvan Lake, Ab. This works fine and was easy to replace, but it's a lot thicker than the original one so the tank sits higher and has a bit more wobble. They no longer make the original one and this is the alternative.
