The instructions are very clear and the top part with the drawers comes preassembled so you basically just have to put the legs on the vanity and on the stool. I probably could've assembled it completely on my own, but my husband was eager to help and I did find his help to be quite handy when I had to flip it rightside up. I do wish the stool was about a half an inch shorter, but the finish on the legs is so well done and they came with such nice gliders on the bottom I can't bring myself to shorten it - I just lean forward when I'm trying to look in the mirror so as to lower my head a smidge. I did go out to my local box hardware store and bought new drawer pulls so that it matches my bedroom set more closely - only an additional three dollars, extremely simple to do, and really finishes off the appearance of the vanity in my room. Rock solid, no wobbles, very sturdy and the finish is gorgeous. No rough edges or chips in the finish.
