My German Shepherd diagnosed with osteosarcoma Right hind leg. I am doing everything I possibly can to keep my loved one alive - they gave her 3 months to live and now going on 5 months and going strong - still loves to run. Because of the cancer, the bone upon viewing recent x-ray resembles a form resembling osteoporosis of which the vet explained to me this bone is now fragile and susceptible to fracture. This brace supports that limb to make weight bearing safe and provides great stability and she still like to take her short runs in the morning. First, I would like to say that people who left a bad review because they bought the wrong size or their dog won't let them put them on are doing a disservice to others. I ordered them after my wife suggested for my 10 year old German Shepard. He had a butterfly fracture on his rear leg when he was 1 1/2. After multiple surgeries he was pretty much good but after getting older he pulled a muscle jumping in a patio sofa and had stability problems. At one point he couldn't stand to defecate. We built his strength by going on many short walks a day. He was getting stronger but still was dragging his hind foot and bunny hopping when he ran. When his, we call them 'hocks', came in they were well made and shipped quickly. I put them on and they were very intuitive to apply. He loved them immediately and we saw an improvement almost immediately. I did see a few sores where the velcro contacted the bottom of his heel so I cut the toes out of thin footy socks and put them on upside down under the appliance. I take them off at night and put on in the morning. No more problems with sores. He lays down and stays till I'm done and they have improved his recovery immensely. No more dragging nails or bunny hopping. He does have mysterious muscle spasms when my wife tries to put them on or his tail covers them ;-). All in all they are great! I'm ordering a second pair for his upcoming beach trip so one pair can dry while he wear other. Bottom line: They worked great for our boy and he really does seem to like them. Recommend highly for what our issue was. Thank you.

Wrong brace was sent ordered a left leg brace and received a right leg brace. Brace is very flimsy. Not worth your money.

My dog is 11 and his hocks have been bad since he was young. I was hoping this would give him more stability. But they actually ended up pushing his hock sideways, not just forward and back. I am sure they are great for other dogs, but maybe my dog has just gone so long with adjusting on his own that this bothered more than helped.

I would love to give this a 5 star rating. My issue is not the product, but that my poor old buddy is just more broken than this product can fix without a little modification. My 13 year old lab has hip dysplasia, arthritis, muscle atrophy and he has blown out the knee repair we had done when he was 1. His right leg literally bends the wrong way if he puts weight on it. The stainless spring splints in this product flex forward and backward...so it wont fully support his leg problem...the fact that he weights 105 pounds doesnt help either. But we own a machine shop, so my husband made UHMW inserts, shaped in the direction of his leg ..he walks stiff legged, but he can walk far enough to do his business without mom having to hold him up. This fits way better than the human foot support I have been using. I hope people don't think I'm cruel...but this old guys is happy. He eats, his tail works fine and he can army crawl from the bedroom to the kitchen in 3 seconds flat when he hears the seal break on the fridge door. I use a sling to pack him in and out of the house and If mom doesn't wear her back out...he will hopefully be around for a while longer. I don't know if the makers of this product will approve of the modification, but it works for us. If your dog just needs extra support and mobility these should work great for you.

***WARNING: The metal in these leg supports should be removed. *** I bought these NeoAlly supports for my dog's front and rear legs. (Two different support products.) The inserts were digging into my dog's skin and rubbing it raw creating open sores. No matter how well they adjusted or how short they are worn the dog should not be subjected to the metal springs at all; It is torturous. My dog was not against wearing them so it took me a while to realize the damage that was being done to ALL four of her legs. I thought the dampness was due to moisture when in fact it was puss. Be fore warned: Remove the metal inserts. *Prolong uses will cause the dog's feet to swell up. * I would post pictures but it could be deemed too graphic...

We ordered this for our german shepherd who is almost 14 years old. She is struggling with a weakened back end. We ran into questions with the size and wrapping of the braces. We reached out to Neoally and the customer service support was excellent. I used the braces for the first time this am and only for a short period of time to allow my dog to adjust to them. They do not bother her at all. Since I am easing into using them, it will take some time to see how much they help.

My elderly (10 years old) GSD mix has problems with her back legs due to osteoarthritis. She takes Galliprant and Flexadin Advanced but still struggles with walking. I put these braces on her hind legs and on our first walk she started walking more confident and faster than usual. She rested a lot afterwards and her outings need to be short but I still see the difference and I can wholeheartedly recommend this product to other dog owners.

My Lab is 12 years old and quite heavy with extensive arthritis as confirmed by recent x-rays and her rear legs were flattening out on her at the lower extremities, she was not given a very good prognosis by the vet. She was administered a Vaccine for arthritis which seemed to make her mobility improve but her feet were still flattening out. We decided to try these braces with the metal supports and she straitened right up on her legs and is able to keep her feet pointing forward, huge difference and they don"t bother her at all. Great product.

I got these NeoAlly Dog Braces for my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, hoping for solid support for her back legs. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite deliver. The dual metal spring inserts might work well for smaller or lighter dogs, but for a heavy, 60 kg dog, the support just wasn’t strong enough. They slipped a bit and didn’t seem to provide the stability she needs. To top it off, the price feels pretty high for what you’re getting. For large or heavy dogs, I’d recommend looking for something more robust and designed specifically for their size. These might work better for medium or smaller breeds, but they’re not the best option for XL pups.
