Emotional Intelligence 2.0 [Bradberry, Dr Travis, Greaves Dr, Dr Jean, Lencioni, Patrick M] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Emotional Intelligence 2.0 Review: We need to read more books like this in high school. - I really wish I had read this book in high school and better yet had a course in it. It would have saved me a lot of grief. As a society, we need to teach children how to deal with emotions. I wish I had not taken it out of the library because the code in the back only works for one person. So, I was not able to take the EQ (Emotional Intelligence)test. I may need to buy the book. I loved it all, but I have picked out my favorite parts of each section: Self Awareness Strategies: 1. Ask others for feedback about how you handle your emotions and listen carefully to what they say. 2. Weekly or bi-weekly take stock of your life and write down situations that you didn't deal with well and then list which quality that you wanted to honor but didn't. For example: Honesty is the quality and then write down a situation that I didn't handle well where I wasn't completely honest. The next time a situation like this comes up, I might deal with it differently because I will remember the list. Self Management Strategies: 1. To prepare for change, make a list of things in my life that could possibly change and write down ideas for how I could deal with that. I really enjoyed doing this and it really has been helpful. Social Awareness Strategies: 1. Become a great observer. Learn how to sense the mood of a room and check to see if your observations are correct. 1. Listen. Listen. Listen. Don't interrupt. Relationship Management Strategies: 1. Use these phrases more: "I am sorry." "Please" "Thank You" Fabulous book. I highly recommend it. Review: A must-read for leaders who want to build emotionally intelligent teams (not just individuals) - Value: This book has paid for itself many times over in better communication, calmer decision-making, and stronger team culture. Emotional Intelligence isn’t a fluffy read: it’s a practical guide to how emotions affect productivity, relationships, and leadership. Practical Application: As a business owner, I started using the five EI domains (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill) as a framework for coaching my team. When conflicts arise, I now ask: Which domain is missing here? That simple shift has improved accountability and reduced burnout across the board. What Most Reviews Miss: • Use this book like a leadership diagnostic, identify patterns in behavior and trace them to an EI gap instead of a performance issue. • Measure emotional “defects.” Track recurring frustrations, communication breakdowns, or reactivity under stress. Treat them like process metrics, not personal flaws. • Apply EI in hiring and onboarding. Ask candidates situational questions that reveal emotional awareness and control, it’s a better predictor of success than technical skill alone. • Revisit the book quarterly. Emotional capacity shifts with workload and stress; what resonates once will land differently six months later. Who It’s For: Owners, managers, and anyone leading humans under pressure from manufacturing floors to start-ups. If you already live by metrics and KPIs, this book helps you do the same for emotional culture. Final Thoughts: Emotional intelligence is a business advantage. The sooner leaders treat it as a system to be developed, not a personality trait to be admired, the faster their organizations evolve.

Great book, but Amazon couldn’t send me the access code for the test
Great book, but poor Amazon delivery. The book states that an electronic bookseller will deliver an access code for a test for the reader to take. That code never came. I even called Amazon and they issued a refund and told me to reorder so I’d get the code. Still no code. I gave up.

LOVE ♥ THIS 📙 BOOK
I absolutely love this audiobook! "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" is engaging and highly informative, making it a must-read for anyone looking to understand and improve their emotional intelligence. The authors do an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts into simple, actionable strategies that are easy to implement daily. The self-assessment tool included in the book is a fantastic resource for pinpointing strengths and areas for growth. What sets this book apart is its practical focus—it doesn’t just tell you what emotional intelligence is but also shows you how to develop it step-by-step. Whether you want to improve relationships, enhance workplace communication, or achieve personal growth, this book offers invaluable insights and tools. It’s a well-structured guide that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to thrive personally and professionally!

Your EQ may be different than you think!
I bought this and then purchased the audio version. So I ended up using this book as a giveaway during a presentation I gave on this specific topic. I found that the information was extremely useful and contents were very relevant. I became interested in this topic a few years ago and have been reading up on it to better understand how we can improve our own EQ. I thought the contents in this book layout very specific information and it’s easier to understand once you take the assessment and then go back and read the sections that you would need to improve in. There’s also a ton of resources in their website, which were very helpful as well.

Kindle purchase. Receive code. Test not good
I ordered this book on Kindle, not even aware that there was supposed to be a code for a test. The book is on the backburner for now, but I got an email for the code, and redeemed it just now. It took a few days. If you ordered on Kindle, give it a few days. However, I don't recommend this test. It's very basic, and not like any professional EQ test I've ever heard of. It doesn't reveal much you couldn't just ask yourself. I also wonder who I just gave my email to with these people. I haven't checked out the book yet, but if it's as basic as the test, I'm not eager to read it.
