The black diamond is more shiny, it has a bumpy texture to it, like the texture of a basketball. The black twill is black inside and out, its the same material you see on luxury vehicles, like BMW's and Mercedes, that are convertibles.

how difficult is it to remove the whole top for those sunny days?

This is not a convertible top but it can be removed in about 15 minutes with a cordless drill driver and 2 people
