Just kidding. They pull right off. They won’t leave any residue. **Q: How well will these attach to painted, textured sheetrock walls? I'm a little paranoid about hanging paintings on the wall with them.** A: They hold a trench coat and 2 xl hoodies and i believe they could hold more weight if the hook was bigger. I hope that helps. (On textured sheetrock) **Q: I have 3 hooks on my door that broke, but adhesive part still is on the door. Can these hooks replace the broken ones which "slide up to remove"?** A: No! The adhesive is one time use. The hooks can be replaced or interchangeable with other command strips but the command strips themselves or not salvageable. I had a couple break and had to toss them I tried this theory it did not work **Q: What are the physical dimensions of the sticky area only, not the overall strip?** A: Hello - Thank you for asking. These refill adhesives are designed for use with our General Purpose Medium hooks. The adhesive on the wall side area measures 0.652" x 2" and 0.652" x 1.797" on the hook side to fit on the back of the Medium sized hooks.
