Makes spraying lanolin undercoating a breeze
I purchased this spray gun to apply a lanolin undercoat (PB Blaster Surface Shield) to my truck for winter protection. It worked great! I paired it with my 200psi 26gallon Fortress air compressor from Harbor Freight and set it at 85-90psi. It covered quickly with minimal overspray. I didn’t use the extension hoses so I cannot comment on those, but the gun made spraying the undercoat much faster than using aerosol cans. I will be using it once a year so it should hold up well for my needs. There are probably better options for a professional, but it did the job and did it well.

Don’t buy! Update!
To update. The company did replace my sprayer with a new one. Works pretty good so far. I bought this in April but did not have a chance to use it until November.(my bad) I bought this gun to use with PB Blaster Surface Shield. The first vehicle I sprayed it worked okay. The plastic trigger handle did not stay centered on the actual trigger button, it would slip side to side not activating the sprayer. I thought okay I’ll live with that. The next vehicle I went to spray I put the cup on the gun and when tightening it, it went past the lock (that doesn’t exist). I ended up duct taping the cup to the sprayer to keep it on so I could finish spraying the vehicle. The thing is a cheap piece of crap! I guess you get what you pay for. I should have tried it right away, I might have been able to return it…. Very disappointed I would like to update this review. I emailed TCP directly about this spray gun. I received a response within minutes, once supplying them with pictures, I was told the gun would be covered under warranty and a new gun will be shipped out. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I have now used this gun multiple times and it’s okay, I modified the trigger so it doesn’t slip side to side and modified the extended tips to spray better. If there’s something better on the market buy it!

Super easy to use
Super easy to spray undercoat, (woolwax) on my truck and does a nice even coat. Works very well and is easy to use, just make sure to wear gloves and clothes you don’t care too much about because it is a messy process

Pay more for something better
Used this for spraying Blaster Surface Shield (like fluid film but thinner). The inky good thing about this is the tip that comes on it. The hoses suck, super fine mist comes out so it's about useless. The cup can be easily over tightened where it goes past the locking pins and comes off. There is a sweet spot where it stays put. And finally, the real deal breaker, the trigger is almost useless. There is a small square pad on the back of the trigger that contacts the pin on the handle. Instead of molding the pad all the way across, there are pockets on either side. So the slightest side load on the trigger causes the pin to slip off the pad and into the pocket where it's unable to depress the pin/unable to spray. It's extremely annoying. When I'm done with this gun this season, I'll probably throw it away and buy a nicer one next season. Save the headache and pay another $40 or so for a different one. Maybe the Wool-wax gun?

Does the job but that’s it.
It does the job but not without a few issues. I used the to spray PB Blaster Surface Shield. It works fine with the regular spray nozzle. Both exiting tubes keeps popping off the threaded gun fitting. Hose claps seemed to fix that. The multi direction nozzle/tube did not allow material to flow. Rarely got any material to spray out of the nozzle until I drilled the holes open. Even then very little material would come out. The straight extension worked better. Also as others have stated, I did start to have issues with the jar staying on towards the end of my project. In the end this is fine for doing one job but if doing multiple vehicles or if you looking to use this for your annual treatment, I’d spend the money for a better gun.

Best Bang For Your Buck
This is my first review I have ever left for anything I’ve purchased I’m doing that for a reason. For what this is priced at. It is MORE than what you get for your money. 10/10 I was extremely nervous coating my truck and was hoping this would do the job. I took a little extra time assembling it. I used plumber’s tape for all of the valves and screwed on connectors. It did not give me ANY issues whatsoever. I will say the hoses to go inside the frame were not what I expected. Did not necessarily do the trick. But I would buy this again and again.

Extension wands are worthless.
The spray gun would work only with the standard nozzle. I was using it to spray RP 342. The gun required the air pressure to be between 60 and 80 lbs of pressure. The extension wands are not usable at all due to the small diameter. The small diameter creates too much back pressure and forces the fluid out of the vent hole in the cap of the gun. I solved this by using a 1/4 inch brass barbed hose fitting and soldered the threaded end shut and cross drilled it to make a 360 degree nozzle. I used a brass double ended compression coupler which has the same thread as the standard nozzle on the gun end and and 3/8 inch clear plastic flexible poly tube to the barb coupler. This worked very well at about 60 pounds air pressure. It is true that the trigger does not always line up with the valve. The cap does not tighten to the cup very well but you can take a pliers and grab the locking pegs on the inside and outside of the fluide cup and gently bend them toward the inside of the cup which will make the lid secure. Giving the cost of this gun to others on the market it can be made to work very well. AS for the trigger put some epoxy on both sides of the trigger where it meets with the air valve. Unless your willing to make these modifications I would not recommend this gun.

Never owned a underseal sprayer before. This was a great purchase. Very easy to get to all areas with flexi hose.

Goes well for the money. Could have a better seal. The regulator is ho hum. But all in all, for the price I think it is ok.
