My roommate picked this ashtray up because she was tired of seeing diet coke cans filled with cigarettes. I know, gross. The ceramic has a really solid, well-made feel to it, and the glazed finish gives it that classic, almost handmade look. This is helpful as it doesn't really look like an ashtray and it hides all of the ashes. Hence, the lid is a big plus. It keeps the ash contained and helps cut down on the smell, which makes a noticeable difference. It’s also deep enough to hold a good amount, so you’re not constantly emptying it. The bottom doesn’t slide around either, so it stays put on the table. I like the little grooves around the edge — they’re smooth and the right size to rest a cigarette without it rolling or feeling awkward. Everything about it feels thought out and easy to use. It's a good spot to rest your cigarette while you have to run inside to get a drink of something. It’s a bit smaller than it looks in photos, but honestly that worked out fine for me since it doesn’t take up much space. It arrived really well packed too, which I appreciated. Overall, it feels sturdy, looks good, and does exactly what it’s supposed to. If you want an ashtray that’s practical but doesn’t look cheap, this one’s a solid option.

I was looking for a ceramic ashtray that was both attractive and practical, and this one checked all the boxes. It’s beautifully designed and on the smaller side, which makes it perfect for a tabletop or patio setting without being obtrusive. One of my favorite features is the center area designed specifically for extinguishing cigarettes before dropping them into the container—super convenient and tidy. Unfortunately, I did drop the lid within the first week, and it shattered. That was entirely my fault, not a flaw in the product. Even without the lid, the ashtray still functions perfectly, and I continue to use it daily. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one if needed.

This is a cute little ashtray. I like the way it has the round raised piece in the middle to put out your cigarette. I love that I was able to choose a color to match the rooms it was put in. The decorative lid is a nice touch to both hide its an ashtray and the keep the ashes inside. I do wish it was a little bigger. But, the size does work for what it was made for. The picture with my hand is to show size a bit better.

I've used this device for the past week and very pleased with it in maintaining ash and butts. Although the center piece is used to hold the cigarette when resting along the notches, I add water to this center piece to extinguish my cigarettes when done. I leave the extinguished cigarette in the bowl and will clean it out as needed. After a day of rain, water did make its way inside, which is okay. An ideal ashtray will have a small water reservoir to quickly extinguish lit cigarettes, adequate capacity for butts, and a heavy container to keep it steady and windproof. Designing an ashtray to accommodate a flame-proof bag to hold used butts and ash is great for quick and easy disposal. As for a water reservoir, I can use a metal bottle cap from a wine bottle. The center piece is either glued or soldered in place so I'll find a work around.

This ashtray has been of great service for my husband until I broke it the other day. Years! It sat outside. The top cover was a good add on. Cute design and color, holds plenty of butts, worth the buy!

Little did I know… this ashtray was built different. A few days later, the lid yeeted itself off my second-story balcony. I watched in horror as it plummeted over 20 feet to the deck below. I braced for the sound of ceramic tragedy and sobbing. What I got was a miracle. Not only did it survive the fall, It BOUNCED. Ricocheted like a cartoon character through patio furniture, did a triple-lutz around a metal table leg, and LANDED upright inside an ornamental curl of wrought iron like it had been training for this moment its entire life. No cracks. No chips. Not even a dramatic wobble. It just sat there, smug as hell, like, “I’m fine, thanks for asking.” If you want an ashtray that can handle ash, judgment, and spontaneous acts of ceramic rebellion—this is the one. Ten out of five stars. Would yeet again.

Replacing some basket weaved ones I’ve had from Amazon for years and was not disappointed by ones I received today. Elegant and look wonderful on my wrought iron black patio table -perfect size for my smoking friends.
