Great Upgrade for Hills!
Nice cassette and looks swell too! Don’t have much mileage on it yet, will update only if there’s a quality issue in that regard. If you are upgrading from a smaller cassette be aware you’ll need a derailleur extender to keep the idler from bumping into the larger diameter outer gear. They aren’t expensive and easy to install. Might need a little longer chain as well.

Great choice for most people.
I have this on a bike that gets plenty of use, commuting and crap weather riding. I have been through one chain on it and it's still going. The shifting isn't Ultegra by any means and the gaps between gears are quite noticeable in places but it's perfect for me. It's been quite solid and reliable and has the range for my ghetto 1x setup to work really well. I just got another one so I have a spare on hand when I kill it. I'm hoping to get two more chains out of my first one. Good value cassette.

Why isn't this mentioned?
Depending on your bike you may need a Shimano 11-Speed 1.85mm Low Spacer. My cassette wasn't shifting right and I thought it was the bottom bracket spindle length. I took apart my cassette from the freehub body and noticed it damaged the freehub body. Thankfully the hub is still useable. There was a abnormal wobble on the cassette too. That I knew wasn't normal. When I installed the 1.85mm spacer the wobble went away.

Strong, well-made cassette for triple crank 8-speed
For 3 x 8 drivetrain this 11-40T cassette required a hanger extension. It worked perfectly with the existing Shimano Altus derailleur. The 6 tooth cog jumps are as smooth as the original 11-28T cassette. Strong and well-made with no visible wear after two months of use.

Oklahoma gravel approved.
Due to my usual supplier having inventory issues I decided to take the amazon route for this cassette instead of a Microshift I was looking at. This cassette was installed on a 2008 Kona Dew Plus that I had turned into a gravel bike. So far I only have almost 200 miles on it but it's been through rain, mud and a ton of dust and shifts great. I will update if I have any catastrophic failures :P On a side note I have taken it on some technical singletrack and this hub has crap engagement and being a cross country mtb racer I torqued really hard on this thing and it handled it fine. Definitely durable. Legit value for money.

Excellent Value
I admit I was a bit skeptical but for the price I had to give it a try. The rear derailleur adapted to the taller (granny low) with no trouble. It's a huge improvement for my little guy having the extra low range on steep climbs. The quality seems good as well.

Great at upgrade for kids bike
Swapped out the sunrace 13-32 that this thing on my daughter Rossignol. So much more range, she can keep in the climbs so much better and has just a bit more up top too. Shimano Tourney 8S twist, swapping to my old Deore XT triggers. Worked on both, no need for derailleur extension. Added a hollow chain, so much easier to ride now.

Ok for normal use, but not overly robust in demanding applications
In all fairness I am using this on a 2kW emtb ebike which is probably not what it is designed for. This is my second one, the first one wore out on most of the gears in about a month's worth of rough riding. The second one folded like taco after about 5min of testing its ability to hill climb on the lowest gear. Chain alignment was pretty good, so I think I just need a more robust design with something less than 42 teeth.
