Best brace I’ve ever worn
This brace right off the bat was super comfortable and lightweight. It immediately added stability to my leg and made me feel safe. I have a completely torn pcl ligament in my left knee and this knee brace was approved by my physical therapist for daily and sport activities. I am an active weight lifter and roller skater/skate boarder. Never have I had a problem with the brace slipping or moving around. Just make sure you readjust after a couple of hours to insure proper function, atleast that’s what I do. I’m not a huge fan of the compression sleeve because it’s so tight that it squishes all my leg fat and makes it bulge but I feel like it might help some people. So far I’ve had this knee brace for about 6 months and I think it’s time for a new one. I wear it almost everyday because I have no knee stability and cannot do any activity without it. The brace straps are coming apart and exposing some sort of plastic middle lining and the straps are becoming too long for the Velcro to reach an appropriate spot because of so much use. Other than that, I’ve always trusted the McDavid brand for all my sports Injuries and will always continue to do so. P.s. I added stickers to my brace to make it more fun :)

Excellent quality. Make sure to follow the measurement instructions
I have a shattered knee cap with torn ligaments that VA Dr's refuse to repair. They have sent me 3 different DonJoy brand knee braces. All garbage. The 1st 2 fell apart and the last one doesn't fit well and made walking painful. When I received this and put it on it fit me perfectly. the motion correction and stabilization is exactly what I have needed for several years. Pain in my low back and hip due to the knee instability disappeared within days.

Does the job, but Velcro is cumbersome.
This is a sturdy and very supportive brace. It definitely protects my knee and unloads the weight. My ONLY complaint are the Velcro straps. This brace would be perfect if it had a buckle so that the Velcro doesn’t have to be peeled off each time. Due to the closeness of the straps, they get stuck to each other and are hard to peel off or adjust.

Strongly Recommend
If you're like me and thought any knee brace will do the job, think again. In my case my grade-1 MCL tear just wasn't healing, though I'd tried a couple of different types and wore them religiously. This McDavid brace, though, is different: first, it's much more restrictive of any lateral flexion -- which is key for an MCL injury -- and it's both higher and lower from the knee joint, providing better support overall. Add to that the ability to choose either left or right leg for a more customized fit and voila! The results were almost immediate, despite the fact that I work outdoors in a very physically demanding environment. And my leg isn't begging me to remove the brace at the end of the day -- can't ask for more.

size instructions both in the product video and ask RUFUS are both incorrect
Although the brace appears to be of quality, it is extremely difficult to figure out the size needed. the product video vs RUFUS on how to measure for the correct size contradicted one another. The manufacturer says measure above the knee while RUFUS says below the knee, both are incorrect or the size chart is incorrect. The brace supports never touched the knee to support it. The product is being returned.

My new go-to knee brace
I am a 30 y/o male and I had my knees reconstructed twice in my freshman/sophomore years of high school. Needless to say, I have had quite a few knee braces over the years. I have a hereditary disorder where the knees are just getting worse each year. I still try to stay as active as I can while the knees hold out. This one is by far my favorite! I have been using them exclusively for almost a year and a half. Con: the only downside is I would not bring them hiking (mountain) personally. When I took them up quandary in Colorado (winter ascent) they slid down like all braces will and with all the other gear i had on I could not get to them to reposition them. End result was the hinge ended up below my knee adding extra resistance to each step and tiring me out a bit more. In the year and a half, this is the only time that this has happened. Pro: the sleeves keep thentypical smells at bay and make it easy to clean and wash. They can be worn with or without. I like the sleeve because it helps push out the low level of swelling I almost alway have. There is no material behind you knee. With most other braces, even the thickness of the neoprene forces your knee joint apart when fully flexed, thus straining the internal ligaments. For me, that is incredibly painful. This brace allows me to complete flex without pain. After with climbing issue, i was weary I would have similar issues skiing. I put one brace on and took the other off while skiing. Less then half way through the first day we returned so I could put the other brace on. The stability and control that this brace gave me was amazing. I would never go without it. 3 days and absolutely no pain. I am new and fell a lot! There was no slipping and sliding around and they dried out very quickly. After a long day of running or strenuous activity, I just put these on and it is like instant relief. Instead of days of pain, it feels like something has taken all the pressure off my joints. I typically will get a couple of pops (I just have that bad of knees) and they are better by the next day. These braces help proper alignment and tracking after the muscles and ligaments pull the joint out of wack. Walking up and down stairs is almost painless when they are on. Additional notes: I saw some complaints about the fit and comfort. You will have to spend some time to get it right. They come with little wedges that you place inside the brace to help it contour to you individual knee and leg. That is actually something I prefer. I wore them around the house for about 10-20 minutes playing with where the different pressures were. After about an hour I had both dialed in pretty well and have not touched the adjustments since. Now, I just put them on, sinch them down and go. 5 seconds and I can (and have) slept in them.

Amazing worth the money brace!!!!!!!!
Works great! And holds up nice during football games. My son says his knee feels stable in this brace. If I ever need another brace this will be the one I buy. In the video he is running (#79) with no issues from having the brace on. There is no slipping of the brace, no pinching, no readjusting of the brace. It stays put during the game.

The Brace itself is good but……
The straps design is bad. I have a heavy 2 pounds customized brace I use when I play tennis or any sports that involve irregular motions. I also have softer braces from the same company for easier tasks. Lately I needed something in between which this fits the bill. The brace itself is solid for the purpose but the straps are the worst i have seen. There are 4 of them in very close pairs that tangle the respective Velcro. Two large straps one upper and one lower would be much better and more comfortable. I am tolerating the strap design deficiency by working around it but there is lot of room for improvement.
