I don't know why so many complaints. I just used this to mask off my car so can black out my chrome and it worked perfectly. The light plastic sticks to the body by static perfectly and I don't even have to tape it down on the non-taped ends or overlaps. I used this for spray painting and wet sanding without issue, of course I'm not sanding on the plastic, as the I'm careful enough to not go past the tape border. The only bit of issue I had is I've had the tape stick to the plastic a couple times, but I accept that is due to my own negligence in application process, just be more careful. I can not hold the manufacturer, or seller responsible for this mishap. But once I got a technique down, I was off to the races. Honestly I would give it more stars if I could. Can't beat the price, three sizes, really what more could you ask for? Except for someone to put it on for you...

These are OK. I give them 3 stars. I didn't trust the tape to create hard edges on my van exterior, so I taped everything off with rough 3M painter's tape beforehand, and then I taped this tape to that tape. Personally I would never trust this tape to make good lines, but it may work for you. These do save time when painting, as we all know that tucking plastic underneath the tape ourselves is a pain. However, the plastic is extremely thin. If you're working outside, FORGET ABOUT IT. A small breeze will make your life miserable. I was fighting the wind like a crazy person when using this on my van outside. I don't believe I unraveled a roll of a single tape/plastic run of this that didn't have at least one hole in it that I had to tape over. The plastic sheet is so thin that you're going to have holes in it. It also has a design flaw of sorts. As your applying the tape, the plastic can get stuck underneath the tape and then not unfold to length like it's supposed to. Then you have to rip it off it's own tape and then you get a massive hole you have to cover up. If you want something more professional, get a 3M Hand Masker and 3M tape/plastic rolls. That's obviously more expensive though. This is pretty darn good for the price, so I gave it 4 stars.

Inexpensive. Sized as described. The tape is sticky enough to stay where it’s placed but doesn’t hurt the surface when removed. The plastic feels thin but protects what’s under it just fine. Overall does what you want it too without costing a lot. I used this to tape off sections while spray painting a car.

The film is lightweight but strong—didn’t tear or shift during use—and the 0.7 mil PE material held up well, even when taped vertically to walls. One of the standout features is how the film clings slightly to surfaces, making positioning much easier. The roll design is convenient for quick application, and I loved being able to cut exactly what I needed. It's also great for protecting furniture from dust during renovations. Bonus: I even used a leftover piece as a picnic mat! Highly recommend this if you're doing any painting, auto work, or just need solid protective coverage.

I purchased these for a paint job that I had, and man I can't express how convinenent these things are! You literally just start with the tape, get the top area, and then drape it down. My only thing is not to apply this in the wind. You will get frustrated! and make sure to have extra automotive tape to tape the bottom of this product as it's a bit light, but it does the job well. Ease of Tear: You really need to start cutting with a utility knife on this product. if you tear it, it will be uneven and piss you off. Durability: I was spraying thick Bedliner, and can assure you that this product protected the paint extremely well! if your using this for lighter paint, I can assure you that it will protect the paint well stickiness: The product is really sticky (in terms of the tape) and applies well! sometimes a little too well. I have automotive tape and noticed the adhesion is stronger with this product, but came off fine after I completed painting. Removal: This was a bit of a challenge, but the product removed just fine.

Loved having these when painting and having open plan living I was about to close off part of the room.
