Well... it's a stick. What mainly disappointed me was the handle. I ordered the round knob handle. I knew there was variation in the size and shape, but I expected to at least get a knob. Instead, the stick just ends with a bit that's carved thinner, making it weaker. Received replacement today- even worse than the first. Exactly the same shape- no knob handle. This one is scratched and has a notch take out of the handle end. Lack of packaging makes me think they sent me one someone already returned.

Nice walking cane.

I purchased a Blackthorn walking stick a few weeks ago and was quite happy with it. The texture of the wood is rougher than I expected, and the extremely glossy black finish is not really to my taste, but the size of the stick and the shape of the handle were satisfactory. The problem came when I attempted to get a backup for another location. I finally found one that was acceptable after purchasing five and sending back the rejects. The thickness of the sticks and especially the shape of the handles has a lot of variability, and at least two that I purchased were too uncomfortable to be useful. I finally settled on a second one, that although is not as nice as the first one I purchased, is worth keeping. I suppose choosing a walking stick is a very subjective process, and if you had a bin of them in front of you you could choose one that suited you, but it seems to me that all of them should be manageable in size and weight and be comfortable to hold. So now that I have two useable sticks, some credit is due, but it was a time consuming and energetically wasteful process to find two that I (mostly) like. All this is written in light of the fact that these sticks are pricey. High price should reflect consistent high quality.

A functional and beautiful cane! This is the real deal and worth the investment. I was a first time buyer from this seller and I will definitely be back.

Its a very sturdy stick

Very poor quality and even poorer craftsman ship. You could make one with no prior wood working experience and I promise it'll be better than the painted stick they'll send you. This product is not worth the money, at best it's worth 5 dollars.

The Shillelagh cane was a gift for my Grandson and he said it was everything he had wanted 👌👍🤠

It is very nice but did not like that I could not choose the handle style. I would have preferred one with a handle and not just a pommel

Item arrived, and when opening the box, it was immediately noticeable that the item was damaged. Upon further inspection of the damage, it was clear that the item was not 100% Blackthorn, and was wood surrounded in cheap plaster. The item came with no tags, nothing explaining its heritage, as was shown in the sellers page. Given the price point, the condition, and obvious plastering of the wood, I do not recommend this item.
