Casual Nights Women's Short Sleeve Eyelet Embroidered House Dress

I bought this to replace a robe I had for about 15 years that was getting a little threadbare. (I guess it's called a "house dress" but I always just called mine a robe, because I wear it over pajamas when I get up). I usually wear a medium or large t-shirt, depending on how they're made. I usually buy large when I'm buying nightwear, because I like it a little roomier. Based on the reviews, I bought an X-large of this, and I'm glad I did. It fits like my old robe (which was a large, I'm pretty sure). If it fit any smaller, it wouldn't be comfortable. So definitely buy a size up.It's a very pretty, feminine garment, and doesn't look frumpy at all (another reason I call mine a robe instead of a house dress, I guess, is my grandmother used to wear "house dresses" which were day wear and they were pretty frumpy looking). The fabric, while thin, is kind of stiff, so hopefully it won't be when I wash it a couple of times. It does have little eyelet holes all over, as part of the design, so you definitely want to wear something under it (or maybe you don't, lol).The only thing I'd change in addition to the sizing is I wish it had snaps instead of buttons. My old one did have snaps, and it was so easy to get off and on. With the tiny buttons on this one, if I were older or arthritic, I'm not sure I could manage them.

This is a really cute house coat. I bought it because I kept borrowing my moms when I needed to get ready and didn't want to be pulling a shirt over my head. Beware, it is a really thin cotton. That was fine with me, it was what I was looking for. But it is not meant to wear on its own, it has eyelet holes all over it for decoration. Do not buy this if you are looking for a full robe like cover up.

Bought these for recovery from Surgery, I got lots of compliments from everyone from the Doctor to my husband. I was surprised that people actually thought they were cute and not "frumpy" my husband actually told me "those are pretty cute, not bad at all." At 33 years old I was hesitant to buy a "moo moo" since they are a staple of my 88 year old grandmothers wardrobe, but I think Ive drank the cool aide, I will totally be wearing these past recovery- but not yet in front of company! lolOnly issue is the fabric is a bit transparent. (I have pink and blue) I would wear a bra and skin colored panties with these!

I ordered this garment two (2) sizes larger than i wear. I did so because at $16.00 i figured it was a cheaply made house coat which usually means poor construction and skimping on fabric. I bought it two sizes to large also because cotton shrinks and i like very loose fitting clothing in the summer. After buying two sizes up the item still did not fit ( to small) after washing. I didn't bother trying the house coat on when it was delivered figuring I was buying a garment well above my size range. so when the item arrived i washed it in cold water before wearing. I can't comment on how long the item may have held together because I never wore it . but there were loose threads, button holes to small for the buttons (i slipped it on over my head) and the eyelets were frayed.

much to small I ordered 2x and though it is cute is is hardly a large. maybe a medium definitely NOT 2x Now I have to go to the bother of returning it at 80 I really do not need extra work.

Cute, but runs small (particularly in the shoulders), and the quality is middling. I had lots of loose strings to cut off when it arrived. However the fabric is overall pretty good, and goes through the washer and dryer well without shrinkage. I am pregnant and normally wear a size 10, I liked the XL, probably would like the L normally. Hard to find a semi-pretty house coat so it's a keeper, despite the issues!

FUNCTIONALITY: I got exactly what I hoped for! Something feminine & not frumpy. Ultra lightweight for modesty-coverage over pajamas for warm weather. If the doorbell rings, just put it on & you're presentable at a moment's notice.SIZING: I ordered my normal Medium. It fits perfectly for 5"2 at 134lbs.DESIGN: I bought Pink. The color of the fabric is a touch darker than a pale pink. And it's completely covered in an embroidery eyelet stitching. Since the thread is satiny, it gives an nice overall shimmer. Finally, the woven-ribbon & center bow, give a pretty accent at the top of the bust area.LAUNDERING: I washed used Warm/Cold water on a Delicate wash-cycle by itself, and a gentle detergent & fabric softener. Then dried on Low & promptly removed. It came-out softer than I imagined & not scratchy at all.FINAL THOUGHTS: You could hem it above the knee & use the surplus material to make pockets. Either way, I highly recommend this very pretty little duster.

I'll be returning my house coat. I'm a petite plus size women with slightly broader shoulders than most petite women. I put the house coat on and could not move my arms forward because it was too tight in the back shoulder to shoulder area. I ordered a size larger as recommended but It is obviously not cut/made for women with slightly broad shoulders.It also should be labeled as lingerie rather a house dress because the fabric is very see through. It's not the eyelits, it's the actual fabric. I could see every outline of myself right through the fabric. So be aware that this house coat is see through before you buy it.

Not true to size, must size up at least one size.Material is very thin.....disappointed in quantity and sizing !

I really like the roomy airy light weight comfortable feel of this house coat over my pajama's in the mornings. Cotton, easy wash . Ordering another.
