Tall, very tall

The product arrived wrapped in plastic bubble wrap. Absolutely no instructions. I understand that the installation is simple, but I couldn't understand the required adjustments. The product also was too tall it will not fit my one piece toilet. I should have returned it, but, I was able to use the gasket, as that was one of my problems.
