## Questions & Answers

**Q: why does h20 flow thru valve when off?**
A: Though I haven't had any problems with this particular model,  I did have 5 Champion PAA-075FV valves fail.  This is a compact version of the nylon body value you have and in under 4 months each of them got stuck in either the open or closed position where the valve stem would no longer move easily through the channel.  I thought this might be caused by a build up of calcium deposits but there wasn't much and cleaning didn't help.  I replaced the failed valves with Champion PCL-075-B valves and they are all still working fine after about 8 months.  When you write "when off" I'm not sure if you mean the solenoid is off or you have screwed down the manual shut-off.  If you mean the solenoid is off,  there may be a speck of dirt or mineral deposit preventing the solenoid valve from sealing.  To fix this, shut off the water supply, then use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the solenoid and flush the area.  If you have tightened down the manual shut-off and it's still leaking then the main valve gasket must not be seating against the brass body.  You will have to remove the valve from the brass body to inspect the area looking for a worn gasket or mineral buildup.
