Review: Makes You Love Cooking - This All-Clad Cookware Set is an outstanding choice for anyone that loves to cook. This set is awesome, and offers exceptional durability due to its construction. They have a quick and even heat distribution, which significantly improves cooking performance for things like searing and browning. Being able handle temperatures up to 600°F, makes them suitable for use in the oven which I’ve done for Cinnamon rolls. The set is also relatively easy to clean, with most food residues coming off easily with a bit of soaking and scrubbing, and their dishwasher safe. I still use vinegar and baking soda after each use to shine them back up. In addition to its practical benefits, the polished stainless steel finish adds a sleek, professional look to any kitchen. Although this set is a significant investment, the durability, performance, and aesthetic appeal make it well worth the price, ensuring it will be a valuable addition to the kitchen.
Review: Clean freaks: read before buying - These pans are great, although sometimes I do wonder if they are worth the maintenance. I would probably give them 4.5 stars if I could. Pros: - They cook really well. They distribute heat very evenly and are great for browning meats and deglazing. They feel solid and are just nice to cook with. Definitely top of the line in this regard. - American-made, if that is important to you. Cons: - Expensive. Costco has a set that looks just like these for a fraction of the price. I have no doubt that these will perform better when cooking, but I am not sure by how much. - Hard to clean. If you are a clean freak like me and think you'll just be able to wash these with soap and water and be done, you're in for a rude awakening. You need to use Barkeeper's Friend, which is a stainless steel cleaner that comes in a powder form. I hit them with that stuff at least every other time I wash them, otherwise you'll get discolorations, water marks, and stains over time. You also can't let them air dry, because, again, you will get ugly water marks. I do throw my pots/pans in the dishwasher regularly, and I think they have lost some of their shine, but I don't really care. They still look great when I keep up with using the stainless steel cleaner. Some people have said they are not dishwasher safe. All-Clad says they are definitely dishwasher safe, but will lose their brilliance over time when washed in the dishwasher. - Lids are not heavy enough. They aren't flimsy, but they are very light. You can't cook rice in these pots without weighing down the lid, which is pretty dumb. I don't know why you would ever want such a light lid. - The pans are pretty small. If you want to cook a meal for a bunch of people, you're not going to be able to do it in these pans. It feels kind of crazy to spend $700 on this set, and then have to spend another $200 on a decent-sized frying pan. If you're usually cooking for one or two people this won't be an issue though. Overall: I am happy with them, but they're not perfect. I'd probably recommend just buying a set at Costco unless you make a lot of money or just really want to make the investment.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why such a hard time cleaning this pan?! Just bought. First All-Clad. But sticking and staining. Even with Barkeep's Friend. Please help. Thx!**
A: SS is a learning curve. But once you get it, it out performs, cast iron, carbon, etc.
Lots of people are jumping on the "you can season your SS". Although it does work, its a complete waste of time and unnecessary.
Once u learn to use SS properly, food will not stick and clean up is a breeze.
Good luck and dont give up!

**Q: How does this pan compare to the 4112? Description sounds very similar but this price is much lower (with a lid.) Just because of sale?**
A: I called Allclad and they said the only difference is that the 41126 comes with a lid. The discrepancy in the height measurement is because the 4112 listing measures to the top of the handle while the 41126 listing measures only to the top of the pan. The rep at Allclad assured me that the pans are identical and that the promo price wouldn't last forever.

**Q: Is this 18/10 stainless, 304 surgical stainless, or 316 surgical stainless?**
A: In all of my research before purchasing my All-Clad I have not come across the use of 304 or 316 surgical stainless, only 18/10. The Tri-ply cookware line that I have purchased (from Amazon and elsewhere) features a 3-ply design, 18/10 steel cooking surfaces, aluminum cores for the even heating, and the highly polished exterior 18/0 stainless for lasting beauty and induction compatibility. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is All Clad Copper Core worth paying extra for?**
A: the consensus answer I have found online is that copper core is NOT worth paying extra for. the all clad line with best temperature performance is actually the MC2, but the regular, 3 layer sandwich of SS around aluminum is the all-around winner because it is versatile (i.e. induction capable) and dishwasher safe, unlike MC2. started searching because I was contemplating purchase of a calphalon accucore set that was "deal of the day". learned the most at centurylife.org in an article about "is all-clad worth it". the answer was yes for the d3 all-clad but not for copper core.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing upgrade if you’re used to cheap basic cookware
*by L***A on December 29, 2023*

I love this set! This is my first dip into expensive cookware. I have been cooking up a storm in these pans! If you’ve been looking around for reviews on this set, you probably have been seeing people saying “don’t buy a set, but prices individually” because certain pans won’t get used. Well, I have been using every single piece of my set. It was an amazing deal! It’s nice to have the consistency of heat and performance with the pans. Once you get a handle on the learning curve when switching to stainless, you get optimal browning and heat. They all clean up easy too! I might have to let a pan sit with warm water and soap, but they always end up wiping clean no matter how burnt on some stuff might get! It’s amazing to be able to clean the pan by making a sauce with the fond while cooking. I can’t recommend the pans enough, they have upped my cooking game significantly. They’re beautiful, sturdy, and high quality cookware that I will probably outlive me as long as it’s taken care of. You get what you pay for!
