Delicious, fresh high quality spice blend
Needed this spice blend to make an Ethiopian dish, Misir Wot. The recipe came complete with instructions on how to make my own blend, but being that it was my first time, I felt like it would be less wasteful to buy the blend should I not like this recipe. Fortunately, the dish came out beautifully and the mekelesha added a really nice finishing touch. Only problem is that I’d like to reorder and I have to wait two months!!

Rich flavor without the salt.
This seasoning is rich in flavor. It isn’t salty or spicy. It is great on beef ribs and lamb chops. So good I didn’t need barbecue sauce although I love barbecue sauce. The portion size good for making multiple meals. Has the true Ethiopian flavor.

game changer
There was a wonderful Ethiopian restaurant near me but it had to close. I had become friendly with the owner who talked to me some about the cooking and ingredients, so I knew to use plenty of ginger, berbere, etc. Somehow the mekelesha never came up. Since studying more I decided to try this, and I'm very glad I took the chance. This completely changes & enriches the flavors for me. It was inexpensive & delivered promptly. I'm very happy with the purchase. I'll be back for more.
