Fantastic sprouts with a little zing!
I was so excited to try these, but I didn't have everything I needed. I came up with this makeshift setup. I used a brand new pair of knee high nylon womens stockings and rubber bands. It worked perfectly and would tide me over until I received the materials to make proper sprouting lids. I took pictures everyday to show the progress. When I first opened the bag, I was almost turned off by the smell. I decided to give it a go anyway. I soaked 2 level tablespoons of seeds per 32oz jar for 12 hours. After that, I placed them in the jars. I put the nylon stretched very tightly and secured it with a rubber band. I made sure the toe seam was on the side and not in the draining area, just in case the seeds would get stuck in it. Next, I rolled the jar gently to disperse the seeds on the sides. I placed the jar angled in a bowl so that any leftover water could drain. TIP: It's good to keep the seeds moist, but not sitting in water while they are sprouting. 2-4 times a day I would fill the jar up with water, give it a little shake and drain it again, then put it back in the bowl. I would make sure to empty the bowl each time too. Everyday, I saw tremendous growth with nearly 100% germination. I covered the jars with a black kitchen towel since the seeds sprout better and grow more rapidly in the dark. I highly recommend everyone to cover their jars. You will see 15-25% volume increase just by doing this one step. By the beginning of the 4th day, these sprouts were bulging out of the top. I moved them to a large punch bowl. I rinsed and gently agitated them with my fingers in the water so the husks would float to the top. I would dump out that top portion of water while holding the sprouts down. I did this 3-4 times and it removed nearly all of the husks. Next, I loosely topped the bowl with plastic wrap and placed it in a window to get indirect sunlight. Never put your sprouts in full sun. They will wither and die. They continued to grow in the large bowl. After about 6-8 hours of indirect sunlight, they are ready to eat. They have a beautiful pale green color and are tender but crunchy. The first thing I made was a tuna salad sandwich, cheese and these sprouts. It was delightful. The sprouts have a nice texture, smell, flavor and a little zesty bite as an aftertaste. I love these! As a matter of fact, I just bought 2 more bags. Since it's only 2 tablespoons per jar it's an extremely good value. Propagation is super easy and very fruitful. While these were greening out for me, my supplies arrived to make the lids. I used a 7 count needle point plastic mesh. I took a lid and traced it onto the material. I cut it out and put it in the lid cap. Perfect sprouting lid. I started my second batch of sprouts and now they have the new lids. I don't suspect that there will be much of a difference. I can tell you that it will be less messy since the nylons held some of the water around the outside of the lid. I'm not complaining at all because I was able to make my first batch of sprouts while I was waiting for my supplies. These crafty new screen lids that I made will make sure everything drains properly and will be less messy. I hope that you all have the success I have had with these sprouting seeds. It was a wonderful first experience. Happy indoor gardening! Update 8/22/2025 I have finished one bag. I have made many, many batches of these with my new homemade sprouting lids. I have also reduced the soak time to 6 hours after a quick rinse with 8oz water and 1 tsp white vinegar. Immediately rinse 3 more times then refill with water and let sit 6 hours. TIP: Do not let the seeds sit in the vinegar for too long. I made that mistake. I got distracted and accidentally left the seeds in the vinegar for the whole 6 hours. Oops! All three of my jars ended up molding. Besides that, my sprouting has never been better! The vinegar rinse prevents any bacteria from forming initially. They still grow perfect every time. I realized that if you leave the seeds in the vinegar too long, it actually breaks the seeds down leading to terrible, white, fuzzy mold. I have found other ways to use these. I decided to try some in an omelet with honey ham, american cheese, swiss cheese and sprouts with a little bacon salt. I did 2 sides of hash browns and a sausage patty. It was scrumptious. For lunch, I threw together some spicy asian chicken tacos with rotisserie chicken, Laoganma Spicy Chili Crisp Sauce, Gangjung sauce and these sprouts. That was fantastic! A definite keeper. I also made a quick kimchi. I loved that as well. These sprouts are perfect on a BLT or any kind of burger. Everyone in my family is eating sprouts now. These sprouts have proven to be very useful and tasty. I even used them in shrimp egg foo young with oyster sauce brown gravy. I will continue to buy these and highly recommend. I had no idea that I/we loved sprouts so much.

Good value sprout mix
I have a medical need for the dense nutrition that sprouts provide. This mix is very good and tastes excellent. I include these sprouts in my breakfast daily and often on sandwiches. They are never too fibrous. One level tablespoon in a jar turns into an amazing amount of healthy sprouts in about 3 1/2 days. I use a small amount of hydrogen peroxide in the water to counter pathogens and fungus. I rinse well with purified water before consuming. I only use purified water for sprouting and rinsing as our municipal water barely meets water quality standards. It won't grow good sprouts. My method works well for me. I use pint wide mouth jars that get packed full of this sprout mix with just one level tablespoon. This looks to be the best sprout mix available on Amazon...high germination rate and good taste.

NOW Foods, Zesty Sprouting Mix, Clover, Fenugreek and Radish Seeds
LOVED this sprout seedlings, this is my first time sprouting them in a 2 quartz jar. The seedling have plenty of room to sprouts. I soaked the seeds 24 hours. I used my picture trivet as drainage holder, the sprouts were excellent, very tasty and not stringy even though I allowed it get about 2 inches long. I'm used to eating the mung bean sprouts, they are fatter and a bit longer. I tried sprouting them, but had ZERO luck, part of my issues are the cool house temp and the seeds maybe too old. I'll give it another try in the summer, in the mean time I'm going to enjoy my new found sprouts. For this review I used 1 TBSP of broccoli seeds and 1TBSP of this Zesty Sprouting Mix, Clover, Fenugreek and Radish Seeds, see pics below. The germination is 99.99 %, can't beat that. This week I'm sprouting the beets, once I figure out how long it will take them to get to my desired length, I'll combine all my seedlings. Can't wait for the next batch of sprouts, it's soooo good, ate all in one sitting. The picture lighting is not the best, there were no brownness to the sprouts, they were perfect color.

These sprout seeds are easy to sprout and it's a tasty mix
These seeds sprout well and taste great. They're more flavorful than commercial sprouts from the grocery store. One of my favorite snacks has become a big hand full of these sprouts rolled up in a warm tortilla; delicious, fresh-tasting, crunchy, healthy and satisfying!. Sometimes I add a splash of WF 365 Blueberry Vinaigrette.

Love these sprouts
Tasty. Good germination rate. Occasionally something hard when I bite down. Don't know if it is an unsprouted seed, so be careful.

Got spouts
Great quality seeds. They germinate so fast and have grown quickly. I’ll be eating spouts in no time. Easy to grow. Sew in water 8 or more hours then risen and place into a glass jar or clear container and cover with mesh screen to keep flys insects out. Water and rise daily or use a hand sprayer to apply moisture during grow. After two days set spouts in bright light and some sunshine. Really like this product and seed selection.
