The Indestructible Gem of My Home Decor
Admittedly, I've never had a green thumb. My home has been the unintentional graveyard for many plants that were supposed to enhance my living space. So, when I brought the Costa Farms ZZ Plant into my life, I did so with a heavy dose of skepticism. To my surprise and delight, this plant has survived and thrived despite my history of horticultural neglect. It's been such a resilient addition that I've caught myself checking if it's real, especially when new growth appears out of what seems like sheer willpower. The ZZ Plant's ability to withstand what I'd call an 'extreme low-care environment' is miraculous. Watering schedules? Hardly consistent. Ideal lighting conditions? It's not a priority in my bustling living area. And yet, this plant has shown an admirable resilience, maintaining its lush, vibrant appearance without so much as a hint of distress. The sight of new growth has been baffling and incredibly satisfying, a testament to its hardiness and adaptability. Its modern decor planter makes the Costa Farms ZZ Plant even more appealing. It's not just a plant; it's a piece of decor that effortlessly elevates the aesthetic of any room. The planter's design is sleek and contemporary, blending seamlessly with various interior styles, from minimalist to eclectic. This plant has become a focal point in my space, adding a touch of green elegance that's both soothing and visually appealing. The care instructions with the ZZ Plant were straightforward, aligning perfectly with my low-maintenance approach to plant care. The fact that it's been able to not only survive but also grow under my care is a huge plus. It's given me a newfound appreciation for indoor plants and their potential to enhance living spaces without requiring constant attention. TL;DR: The Costa Farms ZZ Plant, housed in a stylish modern decor planter, has been an astonishingly resilient and beautiful addition to my home. Despite my lackluster track record with plant care, this ZZ Plant has thrived, displaying new growth and maintaining its lush appearance with minimal effort on my part. It's the perfect plant for anyone who loves the idea of greenery in their home but lacks the time or expertise to tend to more demanding plants. This ZZ Plant is a true testament to the beauty and resilience of nature, even in the hands of someone with a less-than-perfect gardening track record.

Arrived waterlogged and rootbound — not healthy
This plant looked beautiful in the listing, but what I received was already struggling. It arrived tightly wrapped in plastic and brown paper with no airflow and was packed into a dense, soggy, rootbound pot. Roots are already pushing out of the bottom, and the soil has an anaerobic smell — musty and sour, like it’s been sitting too wet for too long.” Despite being in transit for just two days, the pot was so waterlogged I had to use half a roll of paper towels and multiple microfiber cloths, and elevate it on a stand just to slow the dripping. Even now, the soil won’t dry. I also found a leaf buried beneath the soil, already turning black — a sign of early rot. ZZ plants are usually easygoing, but this one arrived in survival mode. There’s no way to aerate or help the roots without repotting entirely — something I hadn’t planned to do immediately after delivery. But now I have to, just to try and save this $49 plant. There are two new shoots — one is standing upright and looks healthy, but the other hasn’t changed since it arrived. It’s still limp and pale, with no signs of perking up. Some buyers might assume that any new growth means the plant is doing well, but drooping shoots like this can be a stress response, and often don’t survive. I expected better quality control from Costa Farms. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other customers don’t go through the same thing. P.S. I elevated the plant and did everything I could to stabilize it within 24 hours. It’s doing a little better now under indirect light, but that one limp shoot still hasn’t perked up at all. I was ready to order more plants from Costa Farms, but after spending $49 on one that needs rescue care and extra money just to stabilize it, I’ll be looking elsewhere for now.

Super growers!
The ZZ plant I bought has gone WILD! Good, healthy plant! I have had it a year and it has outgrown my largest 8” pot. I separated the bulbs into 5 smaller plants and pots. All have thrived and are still growing. Water moderate 1x per week. Ample sun, and healthy soil. These plants are super green and super growers!! Love them! Money well spent!

It is not a fast grower.
The ZZ plant is perfect for beginners. It doesn't need much light, and doesn't take a lot of water. Meaning if you forget to water it, it will still survive. But you need to water like any other plant. I was told it is called the "Vacation Plant." It arrived in excellent condition. No leaves missing no branches broken. I think it is hard to kill this plant. They can grow very large. The deep green color of the leaves are beautiful.

Rough travel
I’ve never ordered a plant on Amazon before and thought I’d try it. My plant looks happy but like he’s had a rough day of travel. The pot he is in is broken and he lost a few limbs but he looks healthy and happy

The Best House Plant Ever!
This is the heartiest plant I have ever owned! It stays green and strong, it thrives in just about any conditions and it is absolutely worth every dime! The pot is great and neutral and goes with any decor. A very worthwhile purchase.

Twice now Costa Farms has lied about the size of the plants
This plant stinks, half the size of what was expected. It came looking half dead (not healthy) with calcified yellow and brown leaves from the hard water and was half the size it was supposed to be. You can go into any home improvement store and buy a mature healthy version of a ZZ plant for less money and less disappointment. I bought two different plants from this brand at the same time and both were very sad. Any other brand on here with live plants seems to be far better, purchased from some others on Amazon and it was fine. It's specifically Costa Farms that sends trash. I know it seems like a goody buy, but don't do it.
