RUSK Thermal Serum 8 Fl Oz

Ok so here goes. I have thin,curly, damaged hair. Basically the worst. It’s hard for me to want to use heat protectant when it makes my hair look dirty or oily. I’ve been shopping around trying different things, and as of 2-3 weeks I’ve been using this product. So it looks thick and like omg your hair is gonna be greasy but surprisingly it’s not !! I put very little (dime size amount) in my palms and spread it through my wet clean hair a couple times. Might be easy to put too much so start off w little then repeat process as needed. Smell is nice, somewhat familiar. It helps my hair look less damaged, helps keep my hair straight, gives my hair some weight, and my hair is growing!! Like I def see some growth prob from being so well protected! Def worth a try. UPDATE. 6months later and I’m still using this. My hair has def grown and is being protected from heat !! Def will be buying another bottle soon. UPDATE 2/25/22 Been using this since 10/10/20. Works well with other products without feeling greasy ! So you go girl and take care of that hair ! Literally putting this and like 4 other products in my hair including oils/ serums. Hair is shiny and longer than ever. Who knew putting time and effort in your hair would make it healthier and just better lol. Some of us gotta work for some things right! Worth it. UPDATE 03/30/23 Still using this after every shower. I try new products regularly but this one is always my last step !!

This is the best serum I’ve found for my fine curly and sometimes frizz prone hair. This is great alone for a blowout, or used before gel for a scrunch and style curly look. I’ve tried many brands over 25 years and I keep coming back to this one. This and Str8 by the same brand are both fantastic products.

I purchased this to use on my hair for flat ironing. When I got it I smelled it and I did not like the smell and I immediately requested to return. Well, I washed my hair and the other 2 heat protectants I got just make my hair feel like straw so I said well let me just try the Rusk serum. WOW I LOVE IT. My hair feels SO SOFT. I LOVE IT. The scent goes away after using it with the heat. I am so happy I decided to give it a try. I canceled my request to return it. THIS IS A KEEPER.

It has a strange, funky odor. Thankfully, after hair is dried the smell goes away. Rusk is a brand I have known for years. This product gives lift and body. Also it will last a long time, as you only use a drop or two. Gives hair a smooth and silky feel.

The title is intended to be taken as gospel. I have chin-length hair and this bottle will probably last a year. Two carefully squeezed out drops and I’m GOOD. Any more and it’s way, way too much. But shading by the 2 drop rule gives me lots of shine and volume. I use the Rusk (other product I’m going to review - please check my page - it comes in a tube) and dry/style with the John Frieda blow brush and my hair looks great, finally! These three styling tools have given new life to a once flat, blah, in-between short hair transitioning back to bob. It looks especially heinous right now since my stylist is still closed, but the Thermal Serum has helped keep my hair from becoming dry and damaged from the blow brush and also gives it a nice shine. But 2 drops! Maybe experiment with additional drops depending on the length/thickness of your hair, but better to go slowly and add because once it’s in, there’s no getting it out until the next shampoo. Rusk definitely gives you bang for your buck! The only downside is it’s got the trademark Rusk “bagged salad” smell, as I’ve come to call it. Maybe I’m alone here, but their products smell like salad to me. The Thermal Protectant isn’t as potent as say, Thickr, but the essence au lettuce is still noticeable to me. It fades away, so no big deal, it’s just...strange until it does. Give me a like if you found this helpful or if you, too, find it salad-y. Salad-y but effective!

This is what my hairdresser uses in her salon. It smells amazing and moisturizes without being greasy. Love it!

The product itself was great the packaging was terrible. I opened it up and there was serum all over the box! I would give it 5 stars otherwise.

I accidentally found this product and since then I never stopped buying it. I am absolutely blown away by the results. This serum has completely transformed the look and feel of my hair. It is now soft, shiny, and frizz-free, even in the humid summer weather. The argan oil in the serum has also helped to repair and nourish my damaged hair, making it look and feel healthier than ever before. I have received numerous compliments on my hair since using this product, and I cannot recommend it enough. A really great product to use with hair straightener. Have never suffered from split ends using this product. Frizzy hair is soft and silky. Have been using it for a few years now, was unable to find it at my local hairdressing suppliers lately, never thought amazon would sell it, thank god they do. Having to pay twice the price is worth it.

Love this for my coarse dry hair.

J'utilise ce produit depuis des années c'est très efficace avant de se servir d'un séchoir ou d'un fer à lisser les cheveux sont super doux et brillant on peut mettre ce sérum le matin sur cheveux secs et procéder à son brushing et ça c'est vraiment très pratique je le recommande à 100%

I've used the thermal serum for several years, because it gives the best protection against using heat on your hair. Other products leave my hair feeling dry or don't actually protect it from the heat. Only the smell of the thermal serum good be a little more attractive (though it isn't a bad smell, just neutral). Rusk is a little more expensive, but definitely worth the money!
