Water Clarifier quickly clumps contaminants so they can be easily removed by filtration. Will not harm pond life and plants (when used as directed). Works fast. Review: Works on Small Container Ponds - For a few years, we have been battling green water in a small container pond in our garden. The majority of solutions catered to large, expansive ponds, but we still tried them. We've tried microbial additives, algae-suppressing chemicals, and have changed out the water completely multiple times. Nothing worked. The blooms returned, usually within days. This worked! The algea was so thick that you couldn't see an inch down into the water. Looks like this stuff made the algea clump so the filter pad we use can actually catch it. After 2-3 days, I can see the bottom. Suspect it will be completely clear by the end of the week. If you are using this for a small container pond: (1) make sure you have a filter medium on your pump. If it's a basic pump, order some sheet filter, cut it to size and use rubber bands to secure it around the water vent. This product doesn't magically erase the algae, it just binds it so the filter can catch it. (2) Change that filter ever day or two. Attached photo is what my filter pad looked like 2-3 days after adding the clarifier. My little clawfoot bathtub pond is looking good again and my goldfish are so much happier and healthier. Once or twice a month for maintenance purposes, depending on your stocking rate, how often you maintain the pond, etc. **Q: A friend accidentally got me this conditioner for my 3 gallon betta tank with some moneywort plants. Do you think I can still use it?** A: eve you can. Just use an eye dropper say 3 drops. I have a 125 gal. Koi pond. This is the best Clarifier on the market. With my pond I only use 1/4 captful every 2-3 wks depending on the weather and (algae buildup fogging up the pond. Just use the dropper and you'll be fine. Do not over treat in your small tank. less is better. **Q: Why isn't this sold in a larger bulk size?** A: hi there, i can't answer that question but we do have some other clarifiers like the Helix Clarifying Mineral Supplement that come in gallons. Also it might be possible to buy case lots or other quantity arrangements. Sincerely,Nate at Practical Garden Ponds 484-356-5351 **Q: how often do you use the pond clarifier as it doesn't say ?** A: Depends on how the pond is looking sometimes once a week sometimes every two weeks ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works on Small Container Ponds *by D***T on June 13, 2025* For a few years, we have been battling green water in a small container pond in our garden. Amazing how quickly it cleared my pond, it's clear and you can actually see the bottom! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My pond is finally clear! *by M***A on July 25, 2023* It works! My pond had a bad algae bloom. The particles were so small the filter mesh weren't catching them. Once I put the liquid in the algae started to clump together and finally get captured by my pump and filter materials. I was finally able to rinse out the green gunk! Some of clumps floated to the top and I used a fine mesh skimmer to scoop it out. I recommend you commit to hang out by the pond when you put it in so that you can be constantly skimming and rinsing your filter mesh to speed up the process. I had so much debris and gunk it clogged my waterfall filter a few times lol. So I just hung out nearby and rinsed the sponge material and put it back in the waterfall so I can continue to filter that stuff out of there. My pond is finally clear and back to normal! My pond is in full sun in the springtime before the leaves on the trees grow back. so I will now be using this product each spring to keep things clear. I have fish and tadpoles and nobody was hurt in the process! ## Frequently Bought Together - Tetra Pond Water Clarifier, 16.9 Ounces, Treats 2, 500 Gallons - Tetra Pond AlgaeControl 16.9 Ounces, Controls Green Water And String Algae In Ponds (77187) - TetraPond AquaSafe 16.9 Ounces, Makes Tap Water Safe For Pond Fish --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/13054081-tetra-pond-water-clarifier-treatment-16-9-oz](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/13054081-tetra-pond-water-clarifier-treatment-16-9-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
