It might take a little experimenting to get the right amount to add. my experiments led me to determine that 1/2 teaspoon is enough for 3 tablespoons (40 grams) of popcorn which would be about the same as a typical bag of microwave popcorn. If you use much more than that, the flavor will be overbearingly strong. I've read that Flavacol is what many movie theatres use, but I have not been able to confirm that. I cant say that it tastes exactly like that, but that might be a psychological thing. It still tastes pretty dang good and saves money over the microwave bags and provide many opportunities for customizing.

If you use a whirlypop type pan this flavoring works really well. You add it right to the oil in the pan so it distributes the salt quite well. Don’t go by the measurements on the box though. I initially did 8oz of kernels which called for a tablespoon of powder. The entire batch was inedible salty and I love salt. Switched to about 3/4 of a teaspoon instead and it was great.
