My three-year-old son suffers from allergies. We’ve never had him officially tested, but he suffers from seasonal allergies and pet allergies. We have four kitties and one dog. My husband and I are also people who suffer with seasonal and pet allergies. We have put up with it for so long that we didn’t realize there was an answer as easy as an air filter, besides medication . I spent three hours researching air filters. And I ended up purchasing two different ones. I Purchased this one for my three-year-old’s room, and then we purchased a Hathaspace Air filter that does larger rooms for our living room/dining room/kitchen area. For the last month my husband and I had been kept up by our three-year-old coughing all night. We couldn’t figure out what was going on with him because he didn’t seem sick during the day. As soon as we lay him down at night he would cough all night long. My poor baby was exhausted, not to mention his parents. I am also a registered nurse and started to realize that the symptoms started after closing my house up for the winter. We live in Montana and usually have an early winter. Which usually starts in October but hit us in September this year. Our inside air is nothing but recirculated dust, pet dander, pet hair and all the day-to-day things that you can find in anyone’s home. I am a fanatic about cleaning, but it didn’t seem to help our allergy symptoms at all. Last night was the first night we used this air filter in my sons room. He went to bed without coughing he slept all night without coughing and I just couldn’t believe it. We all woke up much more rested and feeling much better about the air he’s breathing. I’ve just hooked up the Hathaspace this morning as it was just delivered. I’m looking forward to see how all of our symptoms hopefully improve throughout the house. I will definitely be purchasing two more of these units one for our room and one for my older sons room. It has three fan levels none of which are too obnoxious. The highest speed of the fan I would say is a little noisier than what I expected, but it doesn’t seem to bother anybody. The night mode is perfect you can’t even hear it running and it has a gentle blue nightlight on the top that is not a deterrent for sleep. It did leave a mild odor in the room that reminded me of newness, it wasn’t plastic it wasn’t a chemical smell it was just kind of a fresh new smell. This morning I don’t notice an order at all other than his room smelling fresh. The filter replacements are reasonably price I have not had to change the filter yet but I did take a dry run to see how difficult it was just to change and it’s as simple as popping off the bottom and removing the filter and sliding the new one in. Very simple to operate. After painstakingly reviewing many many models of air purifiers I finally did settle on this one for my son’s bedroom and will probably be buying two more units for the other bedrooms.

I love everything about it but the filter. It seems very bulky but also not very dense to properly cleanse the air. Idk. I would say it does it’s job but the carbon filter is EXTREMELY THIN I don’t think it does much and the regular filter appears very thing as well like the lattice of filter fibers are not very dense. However I do know it works because after a couple weeks there is some discoloration and dust collection. So it’s not NOT working.The filter is attached to a thick plastic part that appears like it will be tossed after each replacement. Just seems kind of wasteful but I could be wrong on that part.The good is that the high speed setting is actually high so you know it’s working. I’ve returned an air purifier before after wondering what the heck it was doing even on high, a soft breathe was stronger. So this definitely has a good power and good settings to lower it down.Also the air intake is 360 around the machine. Most I’ve had only have from one side so it makes sense to capture air from all sides.I got a great Lightning deal on this so I’ll keep it around. It’s definitely working just maybe a couple points could better!Two month edit: this thing works great!! Check out my photo of all the particles caught on the filter. I had my doubts because the filter seemed light. I do unfortunately live with a smoker and two dogs and hard wood floors so dust is everywhere. I have a Renpho scale that works great. I’m impressed with this company overall!

LOVE THIS UNIT!!!I was skeptical when shopping for a low cost true HEPA for my bedroom. I was looking for something that wasn’t going to have negative ions and didn’t cost a ton for filters ($15 every 6mo) that would cycle the air a few times an hour. I already have a Renpho bathroom scale that I love so I was comfortable with the brand itself and it did NOT let me down. Now I’m not one to care about the noise level because I love the ambient noise, but the sleep mode is quite quiet. It also doesn’t force you to have any annoying button lights which disrupt my sleep.To put this in perspective I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it’s DUSTY and gross. We have been having windy storms blowing it alllllll around the last few weeks. My family is also six members and we have SEVEN cats (yeah, I know...). The dander and dust is enough to make anyone run for a double dose of Claritin on the best day. I hastily unwrapped the system and tried to run it in my bedroom while browsing the instructions. PS YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE PLASTIC OFF THE FILTER INSIDE THE UNIT BEFORE IT WORKS. An hour later the air was noticeably cooler and more dare I say...”fresh”. The next morning I woke up feeling less congested and definitely didn’t smell any lingering pet odors. Next was the real test...litter box room. We have SIX boxes in one room. Ran this baby for another hour in that room and holy crap it completely changed the air. No dust hanging out in the sunbeams, no foul kitty cat butt odor. I’m a believer.Just ordered another so I don’t have to move it around from room to room!
