**Q: Will this go on a 1917 eddystone? Do you have to take the front sights off?**
A: Just the rear sight.

**Q: Would this work on a P17 that had is ears shaved?**
A: Remove the flip up peep sight and spring, then space for the mount is available. "ears" are wider than mount adapter. But the peep sight is just too cool, why mess with the traditional vibe? Thereare plenty of other rifles to put a scope on,

**Q: will this mount work on an enfield #4 mk1?**
A: It will not work. The Pattern 14 and Pattern 17 are a different bolt gun entirely.  The Lee Enfield pattern uses a different type scope mounting system off the left side as I recall. Good luck 😃

**Q: Could someone post a pic of the directions or the mount on a rifle with the sight ears removed?**
A: For that you need to take it to a very good gunsmith
