Useful perspective of these muscles, but missed opportunity for a couple
This model is great in that it shows how certain pelvic muscles are attached to the bone. We have leg models and cadavers that we use to ID these muscles, but none of these show bone in this area. It will be super useful for asking my students about the iliacus, gluteus minimus, piriformis, superior gemellus, and obturator internus. I only have two complaints : 1. The inferior gemellus should really be more visible than it is. Its so tucked under the obturator internus that you can barely see it. I would love for more of it to show so I could easily stick a label on it for my students during exams, but I'll just have to use other models for this one. 2. Such a missed opportunity to show the quadratus femoris! There is a perfect spot for it, and I really wish it were there because that is another that would be nice about to ask them from this perspective.
