Amazon Basics Contemporary Madison Passage Door Lever, Easy Installation, Matte Black, 1-Pack

I recently replaced all of the silver door knobs in our home with these levers (7 passage & 8 Privacy). Right away, it made our home look 10 times more elegant and modern. I felt like these were super easy to install and I didn't notice any defects or flaws in the design. I am really impressed with how sturdy they are and think they look and feel high quality. The only thing worth noting is that the instructions fail to mention an important step. I have installed many different knobs/levers over the years, so I am familiar with the process -- But if you haven't installed door levers before, it might be difficult to figure out. Somebody else did a good job of explaining this in the reviews, but I can quickly recap as well. When it's time to connect the two sides of the lever through the hole, you need to remove the covering/handle on one side in order to put the base on -- do this BEFORE you screw the two sides together. Inside the package with the screws, you'll notice a little wire with a ring at the end. On the lever, you'll notice a very tiny golden hole near the base. You need to push the wire into that hole to release the covering/handle. The easiest way to do it is to put your thumb into the ring, push the wire into the hole with the weight of your hand and pull the handle at the same time. You will need to push the wire into the golden hole pretty hard and pull simultaneously. It might feel like you are going to damage it, but you aren't.

We replaced all the door handles in our home and love how they now look! The black handle matches the rest of the hardware throughout our house and really brings everything together. While they were pretty easy it install, we are worried about potentially removing them in the future if we want to change out the handles again. Each door handle comes with this key that you need to remove the handle. I’m worried we are going to lose it and have to figure out a different way to “unlock” the handle to remove it hah. That’s a me problem though.

Had to change a bunch of ancient rounded door knobs so I was able to find these. Easy to install and seem to be pretty study and less expensive that other brands. Replaced all the passage door levers in the house.

EH handle is okay but strike plate wont allow to close door seamlsssly

Perfect. Not giant sized so they look great on regular 6'-8" doors. Comes with two plates for the latch extrusion on the door edge: squared edges and curved so you have a choice to match your existing setup. BEST part is the lever will work if you push down or lift up. What this means is there is NO right or left, no tricky reassembling for each door depending on how it swings. My set had full instructions on how to release the catch on the lever (with this odd included tool) to place the rose cap and put back in place. After installing one, you are a pro.
