This was an exact fit for my 2001 Bayliner Capri with 5.0 Mercruiser V-8. Nice anti corrosion coating on case and components. Ships fast. This even came with the bench test report to show the charging curve and output volts/amps. You won't find this good of an alternator for this price at the local parts store. It's nice to find a place that does not inflate their prices for marine electrical parts.

works great on my 2000 Mercruiser 5.0L EFI motor

I purchased a marine alternator on 2/18/2020. it was represented to fit a Mercruiser 3.0. IT IS the wrong alternator Due to weather conditions and the fact that I can only do the installation on a day I am not working, I was not able to attempt installation until 2/18/2020. As soon as a opened the box I realized I was the wrong alternator. I attempted the return on 2/19/2020. I did not realize this part had only a 30 day return window. I am asking that you reconsider and allow me to return the part. It is in new condition. I never attempted to install it. I had already removed the old alternator and knew as soon as I saw it that it was the wrong alternator.

It came with pully but didn’t match mine in size. Didn’t realize until it was installed and belt didn’t fit. Awkward place to remove to and swap with old one. So far it’s working as it should for a month plus
