**Q: can   these be used   to  clean  a plastic pet  fountain?**
A: i don't see why not, the bristles are are stiff enough to get any dirt or mold off and because they're made from plastic it won't scratch anything. hope this helps you

**Q: Would this clean a rubber hose that is 3/16 inch inside diameter? It's used in dairy equipment for a vacuum hose.**
A: Don't think so as 2/5 inch is almost a half an inch.  What you need is smaller than a quarter of an inch.   Hope this helps!

**Q: Are these going to fall apart in solvants like mineral spirit's?**
A: hello,   i don't think mineral spirits will cause them to fall apart but it might cause them to soften up some. 
   if your going to use solvents similar to mineral spirits i would suggest using brushes with stainless, brass or bronze bristles.
