Men's Motorcycle Vest Genuine Soft Leather Black Syle 950

I ordered this vest at what I felt was an excellent price. I normally wear a 2x however in this case I ordered a 3x anticipating it being a little small. It was, and as a 3x it was still a little snug. The vest appears to be well made and the material seams to be nice leather, however the leather had a very strong processing (I'm assuming) chemical smell. Weather permitting, I allowed the vest to "air out" outside in the fresh air for a couple of months and the smell is still faint. I anticipate that eventually, it will disappear completely. Delivery from Amazon was as promised.

I'm very pleased with this vest. It arrived 5 days earlier than promised. The leather is soft and supple and it appears very well made. It's nice and light weight and I'l be able to wear it comfortably in the summer. The patch pockets are a perfect fit for my (7") Kindle Fire and the inside pockets have plenty of space for my iPod. This is a very good value. I would have expected to pay two or three times more in a retail men's store.I'm glad I read the reviews about size. Reviewers said it's cut small and recommended ordering one size up from what you usually buy. Right on. I usually wear a LG. I ordered an XL and that was perfect for me.Some folks have complained about odor. Heck, it smells like a new car with leather upholstery. Not at all objectionable. It's actually pleasant.I highly recommend.

It is just about what I was looking for. It is a little roomy for me, but I think the medium would be quite snug. I ordered another vest from another company, which had measurements that seemed to fit in their medium size, and it is just a bit too small. OK, but I better not put on any weight. I would suggest that slightly too large is better than slightly too small.The leather is nice and soft, but it is a little thin (a good idea in warm weather), and had a noticable odor when I first unpacked it. The "new car" smell is fading now, and I think I will order a second one in brown. I'm wearing it now, so I guess that is an endorsement.

I really like it, but I found that with it fitting perfectly across across the chest, the waist was a little large, but that is probably because my body is not typical. So I ripped the seam from one side almost up to the armpit, and then hand sewed it, starting one inch in on the bottom and angling up to the original seam at the armpit. Just used a strong needle and I have almost no experience doing things like that. I cut off the extra and glued down the lining, and it turned out to where no one would ever know it had been altered without very close inspection. I was going to sew both sides, but after doing one side it fit right and it doesn't look lopsided at all, so I left it like that. With a vest this inexpensive, I wasn't afraid to experiment to get a perfect fit. I'm surprised how warm it is. I wear it to church and out to dinner, and under my motorcycle jacket as a warm layer on cold rides. The huge inside pocket is a bonus.

The fit is excellent, although the hem will ride up when the vest is fully buttoned and I'm seated (not a big demerit). I'm disappointed that the leather, which is described as soft and has a bit of sheen in the picture, is so lifeless. I'm never pleased when leather is treated so as to imitate matte plastic, however unintentionally. My solution is to rub down the vest front with leather cleaner/conditioner, and then the vest is ready to wear with a good-quality shirt and provide a nice contrast to it. (The vest is perfectly fine just as it is when worn with casual clothes, though.)

Way better quality leather vest than I expected. It fit as expected (size medium for partner who is 6'3" and 170 lbs (thinner dude) ) It was PERFECT for his Daryl Dixon costume (sans the laces on Daryls vest but you can put in grommets). Much better option to buy this and make the wings than buy a crummy pleather and more expensive commercially made "Daryl Dixon" vest. RECOMMEND!

This is an update. As stated in my initial review I really liked the quality and workmanship of this item but the size I ordered, XLG, was easily 2 sizes too small. Since I really liked it I decided to give it as a gift and order another one that would fit. So I ordered the XXXL and it fit but barely! This is the largest one they make, so anyone on the upper end of the XLG range is only going to wear this vest unsnapped. Still glad I bought it though.

I am 6'2" tall and weigh about 230#. I usually wear an XL, but I ordered a 2XL because I read the vests run a little small. The 2XL fits just right for what I will use it for riding a motorcycle. I will often wear it over one or two thick long sleeve sweat shirts in the cooler months. In the warmer months I will wear it over a short sleeve Tee shirt and I will want it a little bit loose to allow some cooling wind in. If I were to order another one for a more dressed up church type of vest (and I probably will order another one), I would want a slightly tighter fit and would probably go for an XL. For the price, the vest looks very nice. The buttons all work right. There is a strong fresh leather smell, so I hung it up in the garage to air it out for a few days before I wear it anywhere. The shipping was fast.

Perfect fit , reminds me of the one I had back in the 80,s. Also very fast delivery...

It's a little small in size but that's OK it's great leather and what I'm going to do is remove the snaps I replaced them with a Indian head nickel with a Chicago screw stud it...

This was a gift for my hubby's June 21st birthday. Delivery was anticipated between June 19th - 21st. I was surprised that it arrived today. Unfortunately, he opened it.

Had a strange smell at first, fit as expected! My Grandson wore it to his school dance. 👍🏼
