My favorite tool.
I love this! One of my favorite woodworking tools. You need to adjust the blades when you get it in the mail, but once you get it set up it works incredibly well. Just know that it’s going to take some trial and error to set the right blade depth. 10/10 would recommend. It cuts well. Easy to use. I will say that you NEED a beefy drill to use this. A regular impact drill or 1/2” drill wont cut it.

Good quality two blade tenon cutter
I used these cutter building a rustic arbor out of white birch. I cutting process was easy and produced very clean cuts. I had no problems with the blades moving out of adjustment, as people have mentioned with other tenon cutters. I'm very satisfied with this product.

A great tool.
This is my second one. I started with the 1 1/2" and decided I wanted to make many more things and needed the 1" as well. The blades are very easy to adjust evenly and accurately. The directions are in the box and are easy to follow. While you will have to buy a forstner bit separately with this one, this one comes with shims that will fit your other bits. The Commercial series is much better than the red/beginners series as these use 2 set screws for blades and the blades are flat making them easy to sharpen. From myself and other reviews, the blades are holding their edge quite well and do not require frequent sharpening. While these are expensive bits, each one pays for itself in it's first project and as long as you keep it cleaned and oiled, they should last a few lifetimes. While you do require a 1/2" drill you don't require the recommended Milwaukee drill, a Harbor Freight one will work just fine.

Better Tools Make For Better and Easier Work
I bought a cheaper version to make 1 inch dowel ends. It was a losing fight with that tool because the smoothed off feed end made getting the dowel started really difficult. This cone shaped design allows the uncut wood to easily be fed into the blades without the severe kick out encountered with the cheap version. The only negative and a minor one, is the gap at the end between blade and housing gets jammed with wood and makes the final cuts more rough and uneven. Side note: Heed their recommendation to get the big Milwaukee hole hog drill. Using anything smaller will really wrench your wrists painfully.

Works as it should
Making counter stools. I needed to have a tenon on each leg to insert into the seat. I decided on 1 1/2 square legs and I drilled 1 inch holes in the seat. This was a problem because I should have drilled 3/4 inch holes. Using a router table you can make a tenon on square stock but the tenon has to be the size of the square stock. This tool saved the day, it cuts 1 inch tenons from stock up to 3 1/2 diameter. It is really for turning a tenon on logs, but works just fine on square stock. To get a cleaner tenon I drilled a 1 inch hole in a bar of steel and after making the tenon I drove the piece through the steel bar hole. This makes the tenson cleaner and smoother.

This baby chews up wood like it is hungry.
I'm just getting into rustic , woodsy furniture, and tarting with our own cabin in the woods'. This honey does the job it was meant for. I am glad I ordered an upgrad tool, rather than the beginners model. The user has to brace herself up read good.

Blades are crap. They're not flat.
And they're not that sharp. Had to sharpen them myself. And because they're not flat, that's quite a job. Remains to be seen how good the steel is, and if it'll hold an edge. Otherwise.....it's pretty much the only game in town.....Z
