Werner AC10-20-02 Long Body Aluminum Ladder Jacks for Stages up to 20-Inch Width (Pair)

I searched the ends of the earth for this answer so I hope it helps you if you are wondering the same thing. Yes this can mount to either side of your ladder. The higher you go the increased need to move these jacks to the outside of the ladder, if under it will hit the house. But when you do this you need a 3rd ladder to get on your platform or walk-board. For lower heights you can put these jacks on the underside of the ladder which gets you closer to the house. This is the easiest way to use them, you simply climb the ladder and step onto the platform. Platforms can be rented for next to nothing per week. I found these jacks to be much wider then necessary, however, it did allow the flexibility to move my platform closer or further away from the house. Very study and safe construction. Not recommended but we were able to work with two standing on the platform but each person had to be close to the jack. Or one person on the ladder and another on the platform. These were used to hang lap siding, tyvek, foam board etc.. and then paint. A snap to put together.

Needed for painting my two story house - they work great on two 24' ladders. Lightweight and strong, and at the right price.Two suggestions for better design:1) Change safety/attachment bolt from bolt and wingnut to a pin and lock that is fastened to jack body. It's difficult to remove and install the existing set up when your in the air.2) Allow the jacks to fold better for storage

The Werner AC10-20-02 Long Body Aluminum Ladder Jacks were just what I needed. I am a do-it-yourselfer who was rebuilding and shingling a garage roof. I needed to have an easy scaffold to do the shingling so that I did not have to keep moving ladders as I shingled. These ladder jacks did the trick. They were easy to assemble and adjust to provide a level scaffold. In addition the retainer "clips" were great for keeping a narrower scaffold from moving around. That provides comfort when working off the ground. They are very strong as both my father and I were able to be on the same scaffold at the same time and we both weigh over 200 lbs. I would recommend these for anyone that needs a good, sturdy, affordable pair of ladder jacks.

I bought this product to do some roof repairs. It fit my ladder, also a Werner, perfectly and easily. In my younger days I had a pair of the old steel finger biters but had long ago given them away. These are a great replacement. They do take up more space for storing but that is a small price to pay for the overall quality and stability. I opted for the larger units so as to accommodate an aluminum walking plank. I haven't used them for under the ladder as yet but am sure they will work fine for that position as well. I would recommend even for the weekend warrior!!

Far better than what we had 30 or 40 years ago. Better adapted for modern aluminum & fiberglass ladders (is it a coincidence? Werner makes them too.). Not for use with the multi ladder, however. Always be careful, especially when you are more than 6 ft off the ground. Pump jacks with a kickboard, rail & fall protection are better when you get higher than 10 or 12 ft.

Purchased these as returned items from the Amazon Warehouse for use when Spring & Summer arrive. Hardware parts bag was missing just a single spring for the clamps. Emailed Werner for replacement springs. Waited 3 weeks and received a complete hardware parts bag! WOW! That's customer awareness/service. (The 3 weeks wait was not an issue.) I recommend these Ladder jacks as very well built and sturdy. My initial test fittings on my Little Giant Max ladders were exact. (Nothing like the clunky/heavy steel antiques (1930's) I inherited from my father, originally for those historical wooden ladders.) Recommended absolutely.I noticed several buyers had trouble with the shoulder bolts breaking. ???? I never encountered that problem. All bolts worked as designed.GP

I was helping a church group remodel an elderly ladies home. My task was replacing the fascia boards. We had to move the scaffold several times and completed the project in one day. The ladder jacks did the job!
