We bought these as a more sturdy place to put my wife's potted indoor flowers next to the dining room window, replacing the somewhat flimsy foldable TV trays. The pots and soil often exceeded 30 pounds. They work quite well for this purpose. If you want to sit on these for more than 30 seconds, I recommend adding BulbHead Egg Sitter Seat Cushion with Non-Slip Cover, Breathable Honeycomb Design Absorbs Pressure Points or something similar to your order. I plan to order again since my wife still has two more potted plants on TV trays. They must be quite easy to assemble, since my wife surprised me by assembling them herself while I was gone to a meeting (she has a real green thumb, but not so much with assembly and installation skills). She said it was easy. I only had to tighten some of the hex bolts since her hands are not very strong compared to mine.

Look nice and are sturdy upon first putting together but...these are the most uncomfortable stools I've ever sat on. Would not recommend. *Update: Had to lower my rating to 1 star. Wish I could have made it less. After sitting on them a few more times (only because I haven't gotten my other new stools yet) I noticed the wood bars rattling around. Not as sturdy as I thought and I checked the assembly...not the issue. I attempted to return them and the seller sent automated emails giving me the run around. I was pretty irritated by this point and filed a claim with amazon. Thank you to the Amazon Customer Service lady who helped me. She pushed the claim through right away and I got my money back. I will never buy from this crooked company again. Good riddance "HaShem".

The stools were well packed and easy to assemble. I suggest using a little wood glue on every connection so that it is less likely to become wobbly in the future. also make the screws tight but not TOO tight or you'll strip the holes out. These look great and are nice and simple and compact. The trade off is comfort. If you want comforatble, go for a wider stool. I needed narrow stools for the space I have.

First set was great bought a second pair 3 weeks later. 2nd set dowel holes were oversized crossbar holes uere undersized and the wood screw cover pegs were undersized and would not stay in. I returned the second set for a replacement and hope it comes like the first one did. The rating is for the first ones I hope the replacement is the same as the first.

These stools were really challenging to put together. The holes were too small foe the screws, so i had to bore the holes a bit before putting them together. Once they wee assembled, they were pretty sturdy and a good height.
