### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best pay off for a long running series
*by W***L on August 18, 2020*

I typically don’t like the hype people build around these big moments in these comics, the introduction on Negan, the whisperers, the governor’s raid, the end of the series, but in this case, this is my favorite Walking Dead volume. This is the only way it could have ended, and it works so well. The pay off of these moments is earned in the arcs and trials these characters went through to, and by the end I was literally dry heaving. My book has water damage from my tears on the last 70 pages, which took me 2 hours to read because I was so busy crying. It sounds like a joke, but it’s not. This is the most satisfying ending I’ve ever experienced to a story I’ve been following for the past 5 years of my life, and I’ve never been truly happy with a conclusion to a story like this. It would have been so easy to take a different rout for the ending and to do something that follows the trends of the books, but this series wanted to make people feel like they read something worth while. And I did. Glad I read these books and I got to see the ending we deserved.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great finale to a great series!
*by K***. on September 16, 2019*

The Walking Dead is one of the few comic series that I have consistently kept up with as they release them and the quality of the story telling has remained excellent and intriguing throughout. The ending to the story is no different and I think the writers did an excellent job in wrapping up this epic story that so many people were invested in. Volume 32 contains issues 187-193 of the comics and also includes a nice epilogue by Robert Kirkman about his journey developing the Walking Dead and his thoughts on the ending. Very satisfying read. Highly recommend.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Goodbye Old Friend
*by D***R on October 26, 2020*

SPOILERS AHEADI’ve been reading The Walking Dead since I was 10 years old so when I heard it was ending I was pretty shocked. Still, I feel like it was time. Had it gone on any longer I feel it would’ve gotten really stale (Like the show did years ago.)I’m reading that some people felt the ending was too abrupt and left many things unanswered, but I disagree. We don’t really need to know what happened to Sebastian or why Maggie has become so cold. The whole plot of the series is about an ordinary man being pushed to his limits to make a very sick world safe enough for his son to live in, and ultimately he succeeds even though it costs him his life. This is NOT the show. This is Rick Grimes story and with the exception of a beautiful final issue he’s not alive to see we’re following him the whole way through. Not to say the series isn’t flawless. Juanita is an utterly pointless character as far as I’m concerned, but I can easily look past them.Overall this is the perfect ending to the series. A hopeful end in a very bleak world. You’ll be reminded of all of the characters lost along the way, how all of the torment they’ve gone through is finally vindicated. It just makes me happy.
