These tie-downs are durable, easy to use, and well worth the investment. This is the second set I have purchased. I highly recommend them because they are strong and built to last. I love these tiedowns. I've avoided ratchet types of tiedowns because I've been pinched by them, and they are generally hard to use with small lady hands. Power Tye is made in the US, excellent quality, and super easy to use when I need to secure my motorcycle for transport.

These straps are awesome! Very well made. Simple to use. They are perfect for strapping down my Harley to the lift. Also great to use towing on my trailer. We'll worth the money.

I try to buy American Made when I can, and with reviews like these, I couldn't pass them up. The price is reasonable, the quality is exceptional, and the appearance fit perfectly. I have these installed as semi-permanent tie downs on the fuel cell in my race car. It makes maintenance easier being able to quickly remove and install the fuel cell when needed. They look great and perform exactly as needed. They're durable, strong, and perfect for what I need. Powertye will definitely be my first consideration next time I'm in need of tie downs or tow straps. Great product!

I'm using these to tie a 900 lb H-D bagger into a wheel chock in the garage for various basic maintenance tasks. I chose them on price and features (ratchet etc), but this is a quality product. Straps are easily adjusted and soft, so no abrasive edges. The "biner" style hooks are sturdy and easy to attach to tiedown eyelets. The release is reasonably smooth and they actually release and unspool, even when pulling lightly by hand. They don't jam, rotate, turn or wedge up when tightened. Very pleasantly surprised; for the price these are really great IMO. They're too heavy to bring bike touring probably, but any ratchet style tiedown probably would be. But for DIY uses home in the garage/shop for people like me... perfect!

This kit includes four heavy-duty ratchet tiedowns with padded handles and coated Chromoly S hooks, along with four soft loop tie-downs. The 5,208-pound break strength of these straps gave me confidence in their ability to secure my load. I put them to the test by moving an industrial laser, and they performed flawlessly. The ratchets are easy to use and provide a secure and tight hold, making them perfect for heavy-duty tasks. One of the standout features for me was the tote that comes with the kit. It's incredibly handy for keeping the straps organized and easily accessible. The build quality of these tie-downs is impressive. They feel robust and durable, and the padded handles add a level of comfort during use. The bright green color is a thoughtful touch. It not only adds a pop of color but also allows you to easily spot the strap locations in your rearview mirror, ensuring they are staying in place throughout your journey. While I can't speak to their long-term durability just yet, they held up exceptionally well during their initial uses, which gives me confidence in their longevity.

These are pretty nice straps, overall. They are thick and wide, and I do not doubt their load capacity. The ratchets work smoothly, and I like the 'idea' of carabiner hooks on the ends. In practice, however, they weren't much good for me! I have three motorcycles, and a Kendon three rail trailer. The Kendon trailer is designed such that in the front, the frame rails are used as tie-down points. There are other rails welded on as well, slightly smaller in diameter, which can also be used. But the carabiner hooks on these straps don't open wide enough to go around these steel tubes. In the rear, there are more traditional loops welded on the trailer, and here the carabiners are easily able to attach. So if you have a situation where you're attaching to a loop or attachment point that's not too thick, you'll probably be OK. But if you're planning to hook the carabiner to a frame rail like mine, you might have an issue. Yes, you can utilize the soft-tie feature to loop the strap around the trailer frame rails, which is what I did! But then, you don't have a soft-tie at the other end to go around your motorcycle attachment point. So then, you either have to attach the carabiners directly to your motorcycle, or use a soft-loop strap! And that leads me to the second issue. The second thing I noticed about these straps is that the ends of the spring-loaded carabiners, like all carabiners, are machined such that they 'hook' the other end. That is, when the carabiner is closed, the two ends each hook one another, preventing them from pulling apart. That's fine...but the ends of these carabiners are very sharp where this machining is done. On actual carabiners that rock climbers use, the ends are polished after machining, so there aren't any sharp edges...because you don't want the sharp edges of your equipment cutting the strands of your rope! But on these straps, the machined edges of the aluminum are very sharp. If you're using a soft-strap around the fork legs or handlebars of your bike, care must be taken not to slice into the strap as you feed it into the carabiner opening. Finally, and this is a complaint against all ratchet straps with a soft-tie feature...they don't go short enough for me to use on the rear of my motorcycles! To fully secure my bikes to my trailer, I need short straps for the rear. On these straps, the D-ring is sewn into the strap several feet from the end. There is simply too much distance between the d-ring and the end of the strap...even if you use the soft-tye feature, which means you connect the carabiner hook to the d-ring, looping the strap around your attachment point, the minimum length of the whole strap is still well over two feet long! So, if you need a really short strap, say to go from a footpeg to a loop on the middle of your trailer, this set isn't going to work for you. But like I said, that's a common problem with ratchet straps these days, since almost all of them incorporate a soft-tie feature like these do. The only 'quality' issue I found with these is the sharp edges on the machined ends of the carabiners...which is why I took off a star. Otherwise they're very well made. But they come with some inherent design flaws that make them ill-suited to my needs. If you're hauling bikes or ATVs where you need a longer strap and you have attachment points on your vehicle or trailer that will fit through the opening of a carabiner, then these straps will probably do nicely for you!

I was sick of buying those small 1" tie downs that only make one trip and are garbage after. These are made in the US. I have done four 10 hour trips with them now. I waited for my 2nd return trip before giving a real review here. Very impressed. I like carabiner ends as well as the built in soft shackle that you can use to wrap the strap around something you can't get the carabiner to latch onto. The straps did not slip and stayed nice and tight for 10 hours some of which was rough dirt road. Aside from being dirty from rain and mud these are still in perfect working order. They are not super long and maybe slightly shorter than advertised but worked perfect to cross tie my brush cutters and ATVs. If you want some decent tie downs and are sick of the cheap stuff then buy a set of these! Definitely worth it!
