Pleasantly satisfactory for what it is
Your windows will not magically become stained glass but for about $10 the effect can be pleasing. As others note, this is not a privacy film but does afford perhaps 15-20% screening via blurring, which is why I purchased it. I wanted some privacy but still to be able to see what's going on outside. I applied this using the DC Fix technique shown on youtube, using spray water, and peeling down only a small strip of backing at a time before squeegeeing. It went on mostly bubble-free in a snap, less than 5 minutes, but I have experience applying window films. Looks pretty good on inside but the couple of bubbles I have are especially unattractive on outside. If you can apply it bubble-free, the effect is very nice. I was concerned it would be garish and look tacky but installed on clear glass the colors are much lighter than shown in product image. From the outside, it's barely noticeable, just looks kind of dark, but that may be due to my specific lighting. As others note, this film is narrow and a few bubbles and the seam are the negatives. I would recommend for use on panes smaller than the film size. For the price, I am happy with this, found it easy to apply, and will try another pattern for another place I'd like a little color and bit more privacy.

Looks great if you apply it the right way! Not for privacy!
Love it! This film is almost clear on clear glass so it does not block the light but adds a nice hint of color with a stained glass look. You can see through it so if you want privacy, you have to put a privacy film on clear glass first. It looks super on frosted glass. I put it on my frosted glass cabinets and it really looks nice! My friends think I spent a fortune on stained glass.Application hint: you can't simply pull the backing off the film and place it on dry glass. As other reviewers found out, it sticks strongly and can't be adjusted if you did not line it up correctly. Try this: make sure your glass is clean, cut the film to the right size, peel off the backing, then spray the window from a mixture of one quart water with one or two drops of a mild liquid soap, no detergents! You just need enough of this water mixture to give the glass an even coating. Now you can place the film on the wet glass and it will move easily so you can adjust it. When you have it where you want it, gently press the water and air bubbles out with a wad of paper towels starting at the middle of the film moving toward the edges. You can see this on YouTube if you need a visual.

Perfect for my purpose and not terribly hard to apply
All I wanted was something professional looking but semi-transparent to provide a little added visual barrier to my work area. The 13.5 top inches of my cubicle wall is "window" and I am on the corner of crossroads of two well trafficked aisles. It's often distracting to have people play "peek-a-boo" through those windows. But I didn't want to loose too much of the light coming through them. This fills that niche perfectly! It's been up for less than an hour and already had two coworkers ask where they can get some too.If you've never applied self-adhesive window film before, order up a second roll for a practice run. It takes a few times doing it to get good at it. I've done it at home with product bought at local box store; so this time was much easier. Still the errant bubbles show up and no amount of work will remove them. But a practiced hand will end up with tiny bubbles other people hardly notice. One caution: be careful with your smoothing tool. If it catches a sharp edge onto a bubble pocket and you try to force it to move, you will tear this film.Otherwise, truly stunning look that adds class, style and a semi-transparent covering to windows ... in all kinds of places.

Pretty, but...
Attractiveness: It's pretty, no question there. Application: What a pain! The self-adhesive is super thick and if you rub it too much, it like smears between the window and the film and makes the glass underneath look permanently dirty and you see lines in the film where you pressed/rubbed. Warning: do not use your nails/knuckles to try to smooth/press it on -- you'll do better holding a towel or even paper towel as you smooth. And I have permanent bubbles in several spots even with a two-person careful application. Opaqueness: This is see-through, it's not privacy film. It adds a pretty stained glass effect to the window (more visible on the application side, but still somewhat visible on the other side of the glass too), but it does not reduce visibility much. Nor does it block sun (which is good if you want sunlight coming in for indoor plants). Overall, I do like the look in theory and from far away, but it CERTAINLY looks like stick-on film with bubbles and imperfections on my sidelight window next to my front door -- which may be a deal-breaker to some people. I have leftover film, and I may try to reapply and see if my lessons learned help me do better this time.

Good product - better when on a window and you can actually see it :)
This is really actually quite lovely. I was expecting very little but was surprised how nice this product actually is. It let’s in tons of light and you can still see out- which is important for safety on doors. I put it on 2 windows and a door that all are in line with each other on one side of the house. Tried to photo during the day but you can’t actually see the film from outside unless it’s night and the lights are on.Just a note - it’s not like the static ones that you can reposition over and over - this has stick to it - so it’s really meant for something that stays. Sure after years if you remove will leave behind a film to clean.Ps. The images may seem dark around the window but that because there is so much light streaming in the phone camera can’t even out.

it's ok but find the colour a bit weak and hard to smooth out because it has sticky backing

The ease of application was great. Hubbie managed himself and very few bubbles
WOW only just used this as bathroom complete. The colours are gentle and translucent once on the glass. It offers rays of light with sunshine and semi privacy. our bathroom window is open to others passing by - on our flats mezzanine. Only the neighbour but it is enough to make you feel unhappy. The ease of application was great. Hubbie managed himself and very few bubbles. Our role was not quite wide enough so we cut strips to cover and it blended without showing. The pattern is modern and stunning on my window. We didn't apply it dry but added a fine spray of washing up liq and water to the window first. It just slid into place and this was on the advice of a friend. The plastic is high quality, thin but colourful, easy to use and a delight to view. I recommend this item

It is easy to apply and remove
This is one the nicest window treatment I have worked with as of yet. It is easy to apply and remove. I have used it on more than one window and love the effect. I would love to see this window treatment in other colors such as red! Great product! :)

Nice Arty Design, lets the light in.
It is a good product but harder to fit on largish windows - the electrostatic ones look easier on youtube!Mine arrived well wrapped with FRAGILE written on the outside tape but bubble wrap didn't prevent it from being quite badly crushed. They should offer customers an optional tube to send it in - even if they charge extra. It isn't wound onto a cardboard tube either and so there is nothing to stop it being crushed - I nearly sent mine back but it went on o.k. in the end.It will give you partial privacy but the light colours mean you can still see out and there is good light transmission - a fair compromise for my front bedroom window
