Great product for hobbiest
This is a quality kit. Little to flash on sprues. Box came in cellophane wrapping with no visible damage.

Good Overall
the kit went together nicely, no problems with assembly. It had a good selection of decals, but the decals themselves were delicate and too thin. I accidentally broke several decals. Other than that its a great kit, and is a good beginners kit.

great model
This is a typical Tamiya model, it's great.

Detailed kit. Easy assembly.
I bought two of these to use for a film project. I wasn’t terribly particular about the quality of the models, I merely wanted a pair of Mitsubishi A6M Zeroes. These are fairly well-detailed, relatively simple to assemble and have adequate decals. There is some fitting of parts required and application of paint is recommended if you plan to film or photograph these models. (Light passes through the bare plastic fairly easily.) I assembled my kits “gear up” because they’ll only be seen flying and I inserted bamboo skewers into the tail to mount the models for filming. Tamiya makes decent model kits and these are no exception.

Very nice model to work on
You have 4 versions to choose from. I made my first one the iconic white version. (it did call for green gray) Very good instructions, parts fit well. I was real pleased with the end result.

Not typical Tamiya quality
This one had a bit of flash on many of the parts. It is short on detail. The most challenging part of this model are the raised panel lines. Much of the detail is raised with some recessed lines. It's a very simple build but could use a little rethinking. Not horrible but certainly not standard quality.
