Excellent farro
I really love this product. It is hard to find unpearled farro grain, but this is the basic stuff, and the quality is very good. It's not a particularly cheap item to buy, but this particular vendor has the best price I have seen, and if you look at price per serving it is not an expensive food item. I have purchased several bags since discovering it on Amazon earlier this year, and it seems to be consistent in quality. I always inspect my grains, beans, and lentils before cooking, as even the best will occasionally have small stones or tiny dirt clods, but I so far I haven't ever found any in this vendor's farro. (To inspect beans and grains, I pour about half a cup at a time onto a clean sheet pan and wiggle it around until it forms a single layer. It is very easy to spot foreign material this way, and it takes less than a minute.) I won't go into the different varieties of grain that are sold as farro, and I'm not completely sure which one this is, but it has outstanding flavor and texture. I use it in soups and in a grain salad that I like a lot. Really good stuff.

Excellent taste and nutrition
This is a whole grain (not pearled) and is the only farro I know of that isn't pearled; it contains the entire nutrition of the grain. My husband and I both really like it cooked as a breakfast cereal. (I'm sure there are other ways to use it.) He often asks me to make it, or will make it himself. It takes 45 min to cook, which I don't mind (many of the other grains, rice, and lentils I cook also take 45 min). It is definitely worth it to have such a tasty grain. It is a little chewy (it's not like oatmeal), and I like that texture.

Farro! Why have I only know discovered you !
Whole grain ad that is the best way to eat it. I wish I had known about it all my life. It is, when cooked up with tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, sweet onions, cilantro and eggs just so tasty and the texture is fantastic. If you like whole grain brown rice, when you taste this you will think you have died and gone to heaven. Make a big batch --just by boiling it in a big pot of water for one half hour--drain it and freeze to use as you want it.

Great Whole Grain Addition to your diet.
This was my second order of this product, due to its consistent quality. I've been on a whole food plant based diet for about 6 years now, and I use products like this to add a whole grain to my daily salads. This whole grain Farro is so much better than pearled farro, retaining all its natural nutrients and fiber. I rinse it and soak it overnight and then cook it for about 30-35 minutes, which leaves it with a slight snap when you bite into it, similar to cooked wheat berries.

No expiration date on label
No expiration date, bogus. It could be old.

Canadian Whole Grain Farro
This makes tasty chewy hot breakfast cereal. There is only one drawback - I didn't pick the grains over for rocks, etc. and hit a small one as I ate it. Be sure to pick it over before you cook it.

Has rocks mixed in grain. Whole grain not pearled
This is the real thing. Whole grain. Pick through for rocks/ debris. Use a fine mesh colander to rinse thoroughly. Then soak for about 10-15 mins before cooking. I used my brown rice setting on the rice cooker 1:3 farro to water. Took a while but came out perfectly. Very good flavor I recommend this product.

Not Pearled! Excellent with all the fiber!
I wanted the whole grain, not pearled. Rinsed, and soaked the grains for a few hours. Put it in my rice steamer covered with water. Steamed it until it was the desired consistency I wanted. Oh, so good! Happy with this product. I ate the first batch right away, will be making more!!!! Thanks for this good product.

I couldn't find this product in stores. I wanted to add carbs back into my diet and farro is the perfect choice. It's filling, satisfying and easy to cook. So far I made farro butter chicken, farro with altlantic cod and nutritional yeast vegetable soup with farro. One more serving left. I will be re ordering.

I have tried a few brands of Farro before and they are all good, but this product is definitely the best. Has the best taste, cooks reasonably quickly and a pleasant texture. If you already like Farro, try this brand as its the best!

The farro was wonderful in a lamb ragout I made upon it's arrival. we will be enjoying this product for a long time as a little goes a long way.

It's a good product but unfortunately you have to be careful because there are rocks. You have to make sure to clean it before you cook it otherwise you can break a tooth. Otherwise I'd give it a five.

I am very happy with my purchase of farro. I am a new user of this grain, which I first tried in a Hello Fresh recipe, and my whole family liked it - so i set off to find more. It is not easy to find. This took a while to arrive , but it is what I was looking for . Thank you
