Absolutely brilliant cooler
Over the years I have had many laptops and they all suffered from the same issues, they all got very hot. I have used laptop cushions in the past but they were never great as they also got warm and damaged the laptops to the point of overheating. This cooling pad, on the other hand, is superb as with it's 6 fans it keeps any device very cool indeed. One this I was a little bit concerned about was the noise of all these fans running as I often sit in the living room on my laptop while my wife watches TV. However, these fans even on the highest speed are totally silent and because they are keeping the laptop itself cool the laptop fans do not kick into high gear. The cooling pad is very lightweight indeed and is powered by the laptop's battery and I have not noticed any issues with the life of the battery. If you suffer from overheating or even just worried about the longevity of your devices you can't go wrong with this one.

Cheap and somewhat cheerful
I have just received my laptop cooler pad today, for my 4 year old laptop that suddenly started heating up (to a burning point) in the last fortnight. With the summer heat and lack of airflow, I imagine that and my laptop age and usage have led me to having this issue. As I am a casual writer/reader/homebody I spend most of my days on my laptop, my setup is not great where I have my laptop on a laptop cushion tray (cushion bottom with a flat hard surface for the tray) the fans on the back of my laptop have no way of efficiently distributing the hot air and thus heats up the back of my laptop and has recently been heating up the keyboard as well. Because of that I decided to buy this, it is the cheapest one on the market £15.99 (in the UK currently) and is on the weaker spectrum of the rpm being 1400 whereas other brands can go to up 4300 rpm but they are more expensive. I usually scour the market before making a decision but my laptop is something I use daily and needed something urgent before my laptop really does die. The product packaging was sleek, accessible and provided clear instructions. The six fans work well but are as strong as blowing out a candle, the dial on the side is pretty much useless because there is pretty much no difference in airflow from low to extreme. My handheld fan has more strength than this thing and this is where I am slightly disappointed but what can you do with 1400 rpm. There are 2 USB ports, a cable with 2 USB ends to connect your device to the pad. As well as 2 inclination stands at the top left and right hand corners and two extra sticky mats for grips if needed. The sound isn't at all that bad, it is like being stuck in a room with nothing but white noise, if you're sensitive to that kind of thing you'll always know it's there or better yet it's the exact same sound my laptop makes whilst being on so for me it's a nothing ick. You get used to it. The cooler distribution seems to work (early days to tell), my keyboard doesn't feel hot at all anymore, the back has cooled but the fans on my hinge (space between my laptop screen and keyboard) still remains warm not hot but warm. It is a massive leap from where it was yesterday being so hot that I was worried my laptop was going to explode. I don't even play games on this thing, I've just had for that long that I'm sure the insides are probably fried by now. I will do an edit to this later for a longer extensive review, maybe in six months or next year. For now, this thing does what it says on the tin, it's not freezer cold or well cold but it does the job in keeping air flow moving and my laptop from overheating. There are probably better options out there but if you're on a budget and don't want to spend £20 on a laptop cooler pad then this is your best bet. It's not the best but it'll do for now.

Not quite as good as expected, lead too short, could be better designed
I have a 19" gaming laptop with a 2080 and i9 blazing away, so in this weather cooling is improtant, the CPU is topping 90 deg C regularly. This is a well-built and aestehtically pleasing stand. As with almost all stands it has the 'spare' USB port so you can have pass-through. Still only USB 2 however, and there are some 3.0 out there.. but rare. A high spec laptop is likely to have USB 3s and a more pricey stand should reflect better options. Sturdiness is certainly full marks, but judged on the fact it is a thin plastic stand in the the first place- but it only needs to take a laptop and elbows! I have to say my previous stand (which I gave to my wife) although smaller and with three fans, had a greater discernable output. This one is very quiet but doesn't feel so effective with respect to air flow - despite the quoted rpm. The heat coming out of the laptop vents was as stroing as ever- but we are at 30 degrees outside.. so will watch on that one. My other --and main --bugbear, is that the supplied USB lead is not long enough to reach mY USB port on the other side of the laptop!!! Most stands have the ports at the back (there are no hard fast rules of course) but my ports are on the far side from those on the cooling stand. Of course, if i turn it around through 180 degrees then problem solved... NO! because I can't tilt it now, as the stand is now at the front! SO I had to buy a lead. The hassle of returnign and lack of true 19" stands mean that is the best option - I am more out of pocket and hassled either way. Grrr. A lead long enough is neglible cost to supply and it is to solve a problem of their own making. For that reason I wanted to give 3.5.. but had to settle for 3 as can't do halves and wanted people to take note of the issue.
