Purchased 14 times now, so clearly I'm sold on this. BioGaia Osfortis is marketed specifically toward women for bone health, but the active ingredient, L. reuteri ATCC PTA 6475, has research benefits that aren't gender-specific. This strain has been studied for bone density, immune function, and gut health in general populations. I'm a man. I take it daily. No issues, only benefits. Better digestion, fewer minor illnesses, and overall improved gut function. The bone health angle was a bonus given that osteoporosis isn't exclusively a women's issue, just more commonly discussed in that context. The capsules are easy to take, unflavored, and don't require refrigeration. At under $0.75 per day, it's reasonably priced for a quality probiotic with actual clinical research behind the specific strain. Don't skip this just because the packaging says "women's." Look at the science, not the marketing.

I use this as starter and it works perfectly. Almost has a cream cheese texture and taste. Only minor issue is it is very expensive.

This probiotic will strengthen your digestive system and improve your general health. We use it to make our own yogurt. It has been very beneficial for us.

This is a rare supplement in that it actuallywent thru double-blind clinical trials. This means neither people taking it, nor those measuring results knew who was getting the actual supplment and who was getting a placebo. I started taking raloxifene shorly after I began Osfortis. But, vimportantly, my most recent bone density results held steady in two cases, and improved in one. That was a first for me, since I had noted decreases in bone density over almost 15 years.

Was used to ferment L.Reuteri "yogurt." Worked better than Biogaia Gastrus (multiple tablets used). Two capsules (20-billion CFU) of Biogaia Osfortis was enough to ferment goat milk into a somewhat thick consistency.

This is a great produce for my wife. She love it.

This product is the most effective in terms of its effects. However, what I like the most is the combination of probiotics and prebiotics in it, which can provide more support for natural balance. The effects are not immediate. You need to be patient to see the benefits it brings. After using it for some time, I did notice an improvement in the freshness and comfort of the product. These failed to make L Reuteri “yogurt” or cultured dairy if that’s what you want to call it. I’ve tried several times and the batch fails miserably and comes out horribly separated and rotten. I can confirm it is this probiotic as I have no troubles making the yogurt from the Oxiceutics “My Reuteri” strain. It takes two batches to normalize but this never does. Which makes me think there is a contaminant in within this brands probiotic itself. I have also tried the gastrus capsules and had the same issue
