Great change of pace from dried berries or dates.
When I am out and about past lunch time or do not have time to sit down and eat a solid meal; I carry a snack to tide me over. I usually carry teriyaki beef jerky, dried fruit such as dried pineapple, these kiwi slices, dates, dried berries, And some almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds walnuts. This category has Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA's). MUFA's provide you with healthy fats. I have read several negative reviews about thus product. Complaining about the seeds, not enough seeds, the color or flavor being off. I have only had a few so far and have nothing negative to say about them. Anyone who uses a dehydrator understands that the dried food does not taste like the fresh food before dehydrating. Apples' bananas, kiwi, etc will turn brown if you do not use ascorbic acid to prevent discoloration. Ascorbic acid changes the taste slightly so you have to decide if you want brown fruit or a slightly off taste. Any time you dry food the flavor will be more intense because you have the same amount of flavor in 1/8th the space before. This is a good product. I recommend them, and I will be buying them in the future.

Yummmy
Just arrived and hubby and I enjoyed a few pieces. I plane to add nuts; pistachio, sunflower, almonds and others and make a mix for snacking. I was worried with some of the reviews saying the fruit had no taste. Maybe the company made some changes, because we could tell the different flavors. They aren't strong, but I have yet to taste dried fruit, except pineapple, to have a strong flavor. With pineapple and the cantaloupe both being yellow it was hard to tell them apart in some pieces. So, that required a taste test (such a trial). Hubby took the pieces we thought was the cantaloupe and he said, yep, he could tell the difference between the two. It is a bit too sweet, but that just means we will eat less of it and add in some other items to the mixture, which will still have a healthy snack. I've never eaten star fruit so I was interested in getting an idea of how it would taste. It was okay -- maybe the fresh would taste better -- but all the other fruits are delicious. I plan to make up some individual packets with the sealer and have them for a handy treat when we drive to see the grandkids. My opinion, if you like dried fruit and don't mind it being a bit too sweet, buy some; I will definitely be ordering more later on. Probably add some strawberries to the order.

Not as Pictured, Question "Added Sugar"
First of all, product delivered was labeled differently than as shown. My bag had brand title "CANDY MAX", which should be a red flag already since the picture shows "Yankee Traders" whom I had at least heard of before. Shown nutrition details were also different, though not drastic, except maybe sodium was higher if you're watching that. Being a reasonable fellow, I did open and try despite the above, and will keep. However, I will likely try another brand next time. The medallion size pieces are a little bigger than picture (IMO) and are NOT cut into halves as pictured, they are the whole circle. The color is also not as deep, only one of the photos comes close to the actual color as it's much lighter and more "olive" hue. I'm used to dried fruit sticking together, however a few of these are really stuck. The flavor seemed much sweeter than the dried fruit that I was getting at my grocer. I'm not a food scientist, but this combined with the "Sugar" listed in ingredients and looking up what a normal (not dried) Kiwi has makes me question if these folks know what they're talking about under "added Sugar". Comparing what google says of normal Kiwi to this product seems higher. (i.e. google says it's 6g in an entire 2" kiwi, or 16g in a full cup of cut up. This stuff says it has 22-23g in 4 slices? I know sugars concentrate in dried fruit, but there's minimum 8-9g and more likely 16g that one asks where it comes from. Because you can't convince me that a full 2" fruit, let alone a full cup, condenses to much less than 4 slices of what's shown.)

Tasty...with just a touch of danger
Mistake #1 - opening the bag and eating directly from the bag while watching a 'Chicago Fire' marathon. Mistake #2 - see #1...times 2 You see, these dehydrated bits of joy and ecstasy are so awesome that you can sit there and eat half the bag before you know what happened. That's all well and good--but about 2 hours later, expect a not-so-awesome experience in the lavatory. These things will clean you out better than a firehose! They run through like a hot knife through butter. As with most things, moderation is the key. Too much dehydrated fruit turns you into something resembling Mt. St. Helen's on a bad week. On a good note, there is still half of a bag left. To be consumed in moderation. Carefully.

Too SWEET!
Way to sweet. Wanted something a lot more natural flavored. The cane sugar additive puts it way over the top on the sugar rector scale. wish I would have read the ingredients more closely. These fruit bits a to soft, they are so sweet it is hard to distinguish the cantaloupe from the strawberry and so on. So if you like dried fruit that is natural tasting, I would highly recommend you pass these by.

Lacking in color but not in flavor.
Flavor is good, but don't be shocked when you open the bag and see that the slices are not green like fresh kiwis. They are a much more mellow color of green, or at least the batch that I received is. Part of that is probably due to the sugary preservative coating on the outside. I also don't think that they taste very much like fresh kiwis either. Fresh slices have a bit of a tinge to them that these don't. But unlike other dried fruits that I have purchased, they are not overpowering with sweetness. The package states that there is added sugar, but I don't taste it in the flavor, unlike the dried pineapple. These are delicious, and a fun addition to my trail mix.
